  • Students gain admission into one major subject which is considered to be their subject for Honours/B.tech degree.
  • Along with the main subject, students also have foundation course throughout their four years of graduation in which they gain hands-on knowledge about challenges of India.
  • In the second year, students are introduced to minor subjects as well as applied subjects.
    • Minor subjects will enable students to gain knowledge about two subjects outside their main subject.
    • The applied courses help in the employability of the student and gain practical knowledge on their main subject.

DU Admission 2018-19 - Last Year Admission Information

Last year St. Stephens College and Jesus and Mary College also joined Delhi University's centralised admission process. However, the students have to apply to these colleges through the common admission process but the final admission will be based on the policies of these colleges. These two colleges are part of Delhi University but earlier they had a separate admission process.

  • The three minority colleges that are SGTB Khalsa College, Mata Sundari and SGND Khalsa will have 50% reservation for Sikh minorities and will have their own admission process but will accept application through the centralised online application form.

Last year the University announced only 5 cut off lists unlike 9-10 cut off lists that were announced before. After five cut-off lists, the colleges notified vacant seats course-wise and category-wise on the College and University websites. Click Here for DU Cut Off (Last Year). The registered candidates were then asked to apply in the colleges/courses against vacant seats through the UG admission portal. But from this year UG admissions are likely to be based on entrance exam.
