NEET – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is the national level entrance examination conducted for admission to 90,000 MBBS as well as BDS seats offered in government and private colleges of India. NEET 2020 will be conducted on 26 July across 150 cities covering around 2000 exam centres. This year around 12 Lakh students have registered for NEET 2020.

There was a drastic increase in applicants for NEET 2017 because the Honourable Supreme court has passed the judgement that the admission to MBBS and BDS all over India would be based on NEET and no college (govt/private) or state government can conduct a separate medical exam in the country. The only exception to this rule is the AIIMS Exam and JIPMER Exam. From now onwards there will be a centralised state counselling for all the medical seats in the country.
