DU Online Admission Form 2018 - Registration Started!

DU Online Admission Form 2018 is now available from 15 May 2018 for various UG merit as well as the entrance-based programme. This is the common registration form for admission to various undergraduate courses in Delhi University (DU). The last date to fill the DU UG Application Form is 7 June 2018 (until 11:59 PM).  However, Delhi University has decided to re-open the online registration portal for foreign candidates until 11 June 2018. They can apply for the UG, PG a wells as diploma course except for MBA. The DU application form has to be filled online. Applications for admission in PG/ M.Phil and PhD programmes have also started from 18 May 2018. DU Application Form 2018 can only be filled online. Candidates applying for St Stephens and Jesus & Mary colleges have to follow the Centralised Admission procedure along with separate admission procedure for both the colleges. On this page, the complete information regarding the DU Online Admission Form 2018 is covered. If you are not the citizen of India you cannot apply for DU admission. However, applicants seeking admission under Foreign Students‘ category have to apply separately. The candidates have to pay an additional fee of Rs.150 for entrance based admission.

Latest Update - The last date to fill the DU registration form is 7 June 2018 (until 11:59 PM). The portal for foreign candidates is open till 11 June 2018.

Applicants who have submitted more than one application form are suggested to retain the one which was successfully submitted, however, the applicants are suggested to cancel the remaining wrongly filled applications. The candidates can cancel the application by logging into their dashboard through email ID and clicking on the cancellation button.

DU Online Admission Form 2018 - Apply Online for Merit and Entrance Based

The DU Online Admission has started and the candidates seeking admission in the colleges of Delhi University can apply through online mode. The application process has started from 15 May 2018 for the UG merit as well as entrance-based admission. The last date to register for DU Online admission is 7 June 2018 (11:59 PM). The candidates who are opting minority colleges (St. Stephens College & Jesus and Mary College) for the admission need to register on their college portal by using the form number and email id.

Candidates must register themselves to fill in the Online Application Form. There is no offline application form for admission in DU. From this year, there is a common DU admission form merit as well as an entrance based programme. Read the Prospectus clearly before filling out the DU admission Form 2018.

Registration for the DU Online Admission Form 2018

  • The candidates have to follow the link given on this page which will redirect the candidates to the official website of the Delhi University to fill the application form.
  • As a first time user, the candidates have to click on the “New Registration” to create the user account.
  • While registering themselves on the official website, the candidates have to fill the following details:
    • Name of the candidate
    • Email
    • Mobile Number etc.

  • After successful registration, a thank you window will be shown to the candidates and they will also get an option to save the information in pdf format.
  • It is mandatory to be the citizen of India in order to apply for the DU Admission.

Filling up the DU Online Admission Form 2018

The candidates after successful registration have to go back to their homepage and have to log in using their login credentials. The candidates after login will find the registration form which is further divided into nine sections which are described below:

  • Personal Details: In this section of filling the application form, the candidates have to provide their personal details such as their own required details, family details etc.
  • Bank Details: The candidates also have to fill their bank details for the refund of fee in case of cancellation of the admission.
  • Academic Details: In this section, the applicants have to fill the academically related details such as the board of education, subjects offered etc.
  • Course Selection: After filling up the academic details, the candidates can select through which medium they are applying for such as -
    • Merit-Based - The candidates have to select the "Yes" option from the drop-down menu if they are applying through merit-based.
    • Entrance Selection: The candidates in this section have to select the choice of the entrance they wished to apply for
    • Sports: This section is for the candidates who are applying through the sports quota and such candidates have to select the college for which they want their application to be considered.
    • ECA: The candidates applying through the Extra Curricular Activities Quota need to fill this section
  • Uploads: The candidates in this section have to upload the mandatory uploads such as photograph signature, self-attested copies of Class 10 and 12 marks sheet, category certificate etc.
  • Preview: After all the section, there comes preview in which the candidates have to ensure that the details filled by them are correct in all aspects.
  • Payment: At last, the candidates have to make the payment of the filled in application form through Credit Card/ Debit Card or Net Banking.

Payment of the DU Application Fee 2018

The payment of the registration fee will be payable at the time of online registration through any of the available online payment options. The candidates can make the payment of the application fee through any of the given below mode - 

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Net Banking
  • UPI

NOTE - The candidates can apply for both merit as well as entrance based course. However, the candidates are mandatory to make an extra payment of the additional fee which is Rs.150 if they have opted for the entrance based test.

Documents required at the time of DU Admission

Submission of DU Online Admission Form 2018

DU Admission Form 2018 has to be submitted online only. Candidates need not submit any hard copy of the duly filled in DU Admission form and submit it offline to Delhi University. However, candidates need to take the printout of the admission form along with the list of documents proceed to the respective college for verification of mark sheet, calculation of cut-off percentage depending on the course and verification of other documents.

    • Yes, you can apply to Delhi University for admission to Undergraduate course even if you have a compartment in Class 12. The student will get the provisional admission and will be subject to the clearing of the compartment before the stipulated time period.
  • Will there be any helpline or assistance regarding DU admission?
    • Yes, there will be lab assistants and some students will at the lab from 9:00 am to 5 pm. There will be counselling every day for students regarding the admission procedures.
