Courses after 12th Science article is a glimpse on the selected courses for the students whose subjects were science in class 12 examination. At this stage of life, one should take a decision after a lot of planning, thinking and efforts. Courses after 12th Non-Medical (Maths Students)

A numerous non-medical field attracts the students who are just passed out in class 12 examination. These fields are Engineering, Fashion Technology, Architecture, Computer application, Pharmacy, Defence, Agriculture Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Sciences, Agriculture Marketing and Co-operation etc. The candidates who want to study in the non-medical area can pursue any of the following undergraduate courses:

  • B.Tech- One of the most common choices of students with a PCM combination in Class 12. Computer Science Engineering is the most in demand choice of a branch under B.Tech and one of the reasons for that is the growing Internet Industry in India. There are 4000-5000 engineering colleges in our country.
  • Apart from the common Engineering branches (CS, ECE, Mechanical, Civil) the student can opt for some of a unique Engineering Specialisations Like
  • Bachelor's in Fashion Technology at NIFT -  It is a four years course and is accredited by AICTE. Admission is on the basis of NIFT Entrance Exam.
  • B.Tech in Avionics & B.Tech In Aerospace - Engineering at IISTIt is a four years course and is one of the finest institute established by Govt. of India for Engineering. Admission is on the basis of JEE Advanced.

  • B.Architecture - It is five years professional course, and there are close to 400 Architecture Institutes in the country. 
  • BCA - A 3 years degree course in Computer Applications for the students interested in programming, Java, Oracle, .net etc. A core programming course for the future software developers.
  • B. Pharmacy- It is a four years professional course where students are familiarised with basics & advanced concepts of pharmaceutics, chemistry, human anatomy, etc.- List of B Pharmacy CollegesStudents can go for Clinical research, start their medical shop or may opt for teaching or further education.
  • Bachelor of Nautical Science: It is a3 year program divided into six semesters, in which the students are educated about various Navigation techniques, Ship Managements, Marine Engineering & Control System, and Marine laws and admission in most of the colleges is based on IMU CET. The candidates can make a career in Merchant Navy as Marine Engineers, Deck Officers and Navigators.
  • B.S. at IISc Bangalore- It is four years Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme
  • NDA - Air Force & Naval Wings- It is open to students with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects in Class 12.
  • B.Stat & B.Maths

Courses after 12th Medical (Biology Students)

The candidates who are desired in studying medical science and human life science can pursue a career as a doctor or researcher in the field of Surgery, Dental science, Homoeopathy, Unani Medical, Ayurveda, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, BSc etc. Such candidates can study in any of the following programs:

  • MBBS - MBBS is a highly regularised course by the Govt. of India, MCI and there are approximately 77, 595 MBBS seats in the country. Lakhs of the students sit for the Medical Entrance Exam, but only a few make it for the MBBS.
  • BDS - Bachelor of Dental Science-  After MBBS the next best option opted by many students is BDS as there is a common exam (NEET) for admission to MBBS & BDS Course.
