Bihar Scholarship Schemes 2020
Bihar Government is working vividly for the education of the students belonging to the minority category. They are helping them by providing scholarships to the students who are financially unstable to support their studies further. There are numerous scholarships offered by the Bihar Government from which some are centrally funded whereas some of them are managed by the State Government. The detailed explanation of the schemes for encouraging students and girls of Backward and Minority Classes education and their all-round development are listed below.

Pre Matric Scholarship for OBC students 2020
Pre Matric Scholarship offered by the state government to the candidates. It will encourage the candidates to sustain their efforts in education. Pre Matric Scholarship for OBC category students of Bihar is offered only to the students studying in Class 1 to 10. The scholarship scheme is sanctioned to the students in 50:50 ratio of girls and boys.
In the financial year 2016-17, a total of Rs 131452.66 lakh Rupees in the state plan for school scholarship for students of backward classes and upper castes and students and Rs 50,000 under the centrally sponsored scheme (50:50) 2058.00 Lakh Rupees however only Rs. A budget provision of 133510.66 lakhs has been made.
- The scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the previous final examination.
- The annual income of the parents/ guardian of the students must not exceed Rs. 1 Lakh

Post Matric Scholarship for Bihar OBC Students 2020
Post Matric Scholarships are offered to the students who are enrolled in colleges/universities / technical and vocational institutes. Post Matric Scholarship for OBC is a centrally funded scholarship. In the financial year 2016-17, for other backward classes post-graduate scholarship, Rs. 40000 Lakh Rupees and centrally sponsored scheme Rs. 7272 lakhs has been made, with the above-mentioned goal, the aim of benefiting approximately 5,50,000 students/girls of other backward classes have been given under the post-intensive scholarship scheme.
- The candidates of Class 11 & 12, UG, PG, PhD and Diploma Students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- The income of the parents of the applicants applying for the scholarships should not be more than Rs 2,00,000 per annum.

Chief Minister Medhavi Yojana for EBC Students 2020
CM Scholarship Scheme for Economically Backwards Candidates has been initiated with the motive of promoting social services and enhancing the primary and higher education sector for the students belonging to the backward class. The selection under this scholarship will be done based on the following conditions:

- The candidates who have domicile of Bihar and cleared their Class 12 examination with an impressive scorecard, can apply for Chief Minister Medhavi Yojna.

Chief Minister Medhavi Yojana for Backward Class 2020
This scholarship is offered to the Bihar Domicile candidates by the State Government. Chief Minister Scholarship for Backward Class will encourage the educational desire of the candidates and will help those candidates who are financially weak to take on their studies further.
- The CM Medhavi Yojana for Backward Class is only available for the candidates of Class 10.
- The income of the parents of the applicants applying for the scholarships should not be more than Rs 1,50,000 per annum.
- The candidates will be provided Rs 10,000 lump sum stipend. In the year 2015-16, the scholarship amount sanctioned was 40,00,00,000
OBC Girl Residential Scholarship + 2 High School 2020
This scholarship is conducted for the girl candidates belonging to the Backward and OBC Class. This scholarship helps in encouraging the girl child education.
- The scholarship is valid for the students of Class 6 to 12.
- The OBC Girl Residential Scholarship is governed only to the following cities: Patna, Mokama, Muzaffarnagar, Gaya, Poornima, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Saharsa, Munger, Rohtas, Chhapra.

Kalyan Scholarship for OBC Students 2020
Bihar Samaj Vibhag Kalyan introduced the scholarship called Bihar E Kalyan Scholarship for the welfare of education in OBC and minority category students.
- The candidates belonging to the OBC and minority category are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- The family income of the candidates applying for the Bihar E Kalyan Scholarship should not be more than 1 Lakh.
- Around 33,00,00,000 scholarship amount has been sanctioned in 29 districts of Bihar.
