Central Sector Scholarship for Top Class ST Students

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Top Class ST Students was given by Ministry of Tribal Affairs, to meritorious ST students for pursuing studies at Degree and Post Graduate level in any of the 213 identified quality educational institutions. Students Studying in the Top Class Institutions would only be able to apply for the Top Class Scheme. The List of Institutions is finalised by the Ministry /Department. This scholarship scheme namely “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship” was introduced in the 11th five-year plan while discontinuing all the earlier scholarship schemes. 100% funding is provided by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs according to the norms. Each identified Institute has been allocated 5 awards; however, it can be increased subject to an overall cap of 625 scholarships per year. Scholarship once awarded will continue until completion of the course subject to satisfactory performance.
