JEE Main 2018 Registration - Application Started!

JEE Main 2018 Registration has started from 1 December 2017. The eligible candidates can register through online mode by following the link given towards the end of this page. The candidates will be able to fill the application form until 1 January 2018. Students have to fill up the JEE Main Application Form 2018 through online mode only as there is no offline procedure for filling up the form. The fees, however, can be paid either through the online or offline mode. The candidates are allowed to submit only one JEE Main Registration Form. More than one application i.e., multiple applications from a candidate will be rejected. Registration fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.

JEE Main 2018 is a joint entrance examination for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and as the first step for admission to IITs. Students who qualify Stage 1 i.e. JEE Main have to apply for JEE Advanced 2018 for admission to IITs and ISM Dhanbad.

JEE Main 2018 Registration has started. The eligible candidates can fill up the application which should be submitted on or before the due date. The last date to fill the form is 1 January 2018. Candidates can fill the JEE Main Application form Online through the Internet from any place of convenience. While filling the application form, mentioning the Aadhar details have become mandatory. Steps to fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form

STEP 1: Registration and Form Filling - At first, the candidates filling up the form need to register themselves on the official website of JEE by following the link given above on this page. After registration, the candidates will be able to fill the application form furnishing the correct details in each and every section

STEP 2: Uploading Photograph and Signature - After filling up the form, it is a prior responsibility of the candidates to ensure that the details filled by them are correct in all aspect. Thereafter, the candidates need to upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature Impression.

STEP 3: Payment and Submission- Once the candidates are done with filling up the form and uploading photographs, they have to make the payment of the fee and have to submit the application form. Post submission, the candidates are suggested to download Acknowledgement Slip and keep the same in safe custody for future reference.

Specifications of the Photograph and Signature are given in the table below. Keep the Scanned Images of your Photograph and Signature ready in JPG/JPEG format only. From this year, the signature of Father/ Mother/ Guardian has become mandatory. Hence, the candidates have to upload those too as per given size and format.

Other Specifications for the Photograph -

  • The photograph should be colour or b/w (but clear contrast) with the name of the candidate and date printed on it as shown below.
  • It should be without cap or goggles.
  • Spectacles are allowed.
  • Polaroid photos are not acceptable.
  • Candidates with unclear photograph are liable to be rejected.
  • Candidates may keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of entrance examination, Counselling and Admission
  • The candidates should provide all the required details while filling up the online form

Aadhaar Card Mandatory for Filling JEE Main Application Form 2018

 

  • The Indian candidates who want to apply for JEE Main 2018 should have Aadhaar Card number issued by UIDAI. The candidates must have to enter correct their Aadhaar number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI's data. 
  • Candidate's who do not possess their Aadhar Card are required to make application for Aadhar enrolment in case he/she is entitled to obtain Aadhar by visiting any Aadhar enrollment centre.
  • CBSE has specially set up facilitation Centre for those applicant's who have not yet enrolled for Aadhar card number.
  • The applicant who has been enrolled for Aadhaar and has not received Aadhaar should enter 28 digit Aadhar Enrolment ID printed on the Aadhar enrolment slip at the time of filling the online application form for JEE Main 2018.
  • The Aadhar Card is not mandatory for the candidates of J&K, Assam and Meghalaya.
  • Those Candidates can enter their ration card number, passport number, bank number and other valid government identity number provided they should select the city of examination in these states only.

The application fee given in the table below is separated into two parts. One is for the application fee required for the examination centre opted in India. And another is the examination centre opted outside India. The candidates should keep in mind while making the payment of the fee.

JEE Main 2018 Registration Fee for Examination Centre opted outside India

Payment of JEE Main 2018 Registration Fee

The JEE Main registration fee cannot be completed without the payment of application fee. The candidates can make the payment of the fee by any of the mode given below:

  • Payment through Credit/ Debit card
    • In case the examination fee is paid through credit cards, the candidates will need to pay an additional processing charge of 1.20% of the examination fee plus the GST as applicable
    • In case the payment made through Debit Card, 0.75% + taxes for examination fee up to Rs.2000 and 1% +taxes for examination fee more than Rs.2,000
  • Payment through E-Challan 
  • Another mode of paying the application fee is through E challan. The challan would be generated after successful submission of JEE Main online application form.  The fee through e-Challan may be deposited in any branch of Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank

Submission of JEE Main 2018 Registration Form

Once the payment is successfully completed, and the duly filled in application form along with the above-mentioned documents has been submitted, candidates will get a confirmation page and also an email regarding the same. The candidates are suggested to keep a copy of the confirmation page.

Candidates are required NOT to send any document to JEE Main Secretariat. After the final submission of the form, the candidates are suggested to keep at least two printouts of the application form with them for future use.

Some Important Things to be kept in Mind -

  • Note down JEE Main Application form and keep it safely for future use.
  • Application form no. will be useful for future reference and for downloading JEE Main 2018 Admit card.
  • Maintain a separate folder and keep a copy of all the application forms that you fill as this will save your precious time in future.
  • Keep a copy of DD or the pay in the slip or the transaction details if you have paid the fees online.
  • It is good to be organised and keep all your things in order so that you use your precious time in preparing and not just finding your documents on time.
  • Use of gadgets (like the calculator and mobile phones) is strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
