JEE Main Registration 2019 Started - How to Fill Application Form, Dates, Fee

JEE Main Registration 2019 process has started by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can fill JEE Main 2019 registration only through online mode. Aspirants can click on the link provided on this article to fill JEE Main 2019 application form. The last date to submit the JEE Main application form is 30 September 2018. The JEE registration fee has been reduced as compared to the previous year's registration fee. This year JEE Main registration fee (for JEE Main Paper 1 or Paper 2 only) is Rs. 500 for General and OBC boys while Rs. 250 for other candidates. The JEE Main application fee can be paid only through online mode.

Before engineering aspirants start with the JEE Main 2019 registration, they are advised to check the eligibility norms. JEE Main Registration 2019 -  Eligibility Criteria 

It is mandatory for all the candidates to be familiar with the eligibility norms of JEE Main 2019. If candidates fail to meet any of the JEE eligibility norms, then, they will be disqualified on or before the admission rounds. As per JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2019, candidates must have passed their Class 12 exam from a recognized board. However, students who are appearing for the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply. Also, while filling JEE Registration 2019 form, the applicants must make sure that they are born on or after 1 October 1994. However, students applying under the reserved categories such as ST, SC and PwD categories will get a relaxation of 5 years.

JEE Main Registration 2019 - Apply Online for JEE Main 

JEE Main Registration 2019 is going to start from 1 September and end on 30 September 2018 for candidates who will give exams in the month of January 2019. The exams are going to be conducted by NTA twice a year from 2019 hence, therefore, candidates will have to register separately for JEE Main 2019 exams in April. The registration will be done through online mode only.

JEE Main 2019 Aadhaar Card requirement for filling Registration Form

While registering for JEE Main 2019, it is very important that the candidate updates the correct Aadhaar Card details as these details are checked by the authorities. The candidates who do not have an Aadhaar card will first have to apply for Aadhaar Card and obtain an Aadhaar Enrolment number and register for JEE Main 2019 using the same enrolment number.

The Aadhaar card is not mandatory for candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya. Such candidates can enter ration card number, passport number, bank number and other valid government identity number provided the selected state for examination is the same.

Steps to apply for JEE Main Registration 2019

JEE Main Registration 2019 - Create Account (Step 1) 

To begin with JEE Main registration 2019, first, candidates are required to fill the authentication form i.e the registration form. Here, candidates are required to click on the 'Apply for JEE (Main) - 2019' button to fill in the application form, uploading of scanned images and payment of the examination fee. On clicking on the button, applicants will be directed to the JEE Main application form. The image of the registration form will look like the following one provided below.

In the registration form of JEE Main 2019, candidates are required to enter the following details correctly -

  1. Select name of the state of eligibility
  2. Enter the name of the state where Class 12th School/NIOS Center is located
  3. Select the ID type
  4. Provide the ID number
  5. Enter Name
  6. Select Date of Birth
  7. Select Gender
  8. Enter the security pin

After entering all the above mentioned details, candidates are advised to go through them once and then click on the 'Submit' button.

In the JEE Application Form, candidates are required to provide the following details -

Security Pin Enter the provided security pin and then click on 'Submit and Review' 

 

*This section is an extension to the personal details part of the registration form. Here, candidates can edit the previously entered data during the JEE Main Registration.

After clicking on the Submit Button, candidates will be allowed to review the entered details one more time. Also, they are required to click on the parameter check boxes of the details entered after checking the details. If satisfied with the entered details, candidates are required to check the 'I Agree' box and then click on the 'Submit' button, else, candidates can click on the 'Edit Application Form' button.

Note: A message will be sent to the candidates registered phone number and an email to the email address regarding the completion of the first step of the registration process.

JEE Main Registration 2019 - Image Upload (Step 3)

Here, candidates are required to upload the scanned images of their passport size photograph and signature. The images must be scanned as per the specifications mentioned. On uploading the images, candidates are required to click on the 'Preview' button and check the uploaded images before clicking on 'Final Upload' button.

The passport photo used in JEE Main Application should Adhere to following

  • The size and format of the scanned image should strictly be as mentioned above. Even the slightest difference will make the image unacceptable.
  • Candidate’s photograph should be without any cap and goggles but spectacles are allowed.
  • Polaroid photos are not accepted.
  • Clarity: The photograph should be clear whether it is of the candidate or the candidate’s signature.

JEE Main Registration Fee 2019 - Payment of Application Fee (Step 4)

 Once the candidates are done with filling up the form and uploading photographs, they have to make the payment of the fee, which can be done via Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. After that, the candidates have to submit the application form. Post submission, the candidates are suggested to download Acknowledgement Slip and keep the same in safe custody for future reference.

JEE Main 2019 Registration Fee - Payment Method

Candidates can make the payment fee for JEE Main 2019 using the below-mentioned mode of payment

  • Depositing cash at SBI Branch through e-challan

Submission of JEE Main Registration Form 2019 - (Step 5)

After the successful payment of Registration fee and submission of application form, candidates will get a confirmation page and an email will also be sent regarding the same. Candidates need not require to send any documents to JEE Main Secretariat.

Note: The JEE Main application fee is chargeable if candidates are paying through Net Banking and Credit Cards. The bank charges will be as follows -

  • SBI Net Banking - 5.9 per cent
  • Other Bank Net Banking - 5.9 per cent
  • Credit Card - 15.34 per cent

What after JEE Main Registration 2019?

Only after the successful payment of JEE Main registration 2019 fee, applicants will be able to submit the application form. Aspirants are advised to download their completed JEE Main application form once it is complete for future reference. On completing the JEE Main 2019 registration process, candidates will be eligible to download JEE Main Admit Card 2019. The hall ticket of JEE Main 2019 will contain details about the candidate, the examination venue, exam rules, etc. As per the candidate's choice for test city, they will be allotted the JEE Main Exam Centres 2019. On the day of the test, students are advised to carry the admit card to their examination centres along with a valid ID proof.

JEE Main 2019 Application form correction

JEE Main Application form correction will also be available after the ending of registration. Candidates who have committed any mistake in the registration form can correct the mistake in the given period. This is the last chance to correct any mistake and candidates are advised to not commit any more mistakes in this form. However, candidates will be able to make a few corrections only.

  • JEE Main 2019 will be a computer based test only
  • The entrance test will be held twice a year i.e. on January and April

JEE main 2019 registration started on 1 September and in the first 2 hours, 10,498 students applied for the JEE main 2019 exam. There is an expectation that a lot of students will register for both JEE January exam and JEE April exam.

There was a decline in JEE Registration in 2018 as compared to 2017. As per the JEE Main registration statistics, the fall in the total number of applicants has started to decline since the 2015 session.
