NEET 2018 Exam date is announced by MCI (Medical Council of India). The exam for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) will be held on 10 May 2018. MCI has also given instruction to the medical colleges of India to complete admission for the medical and dental courses until the month of August 2018.
According to the MCI officials, earlier it was decided that the last date for admission in Medical and Dental Colleges was 31 August 2018, But now, the MCI has recommended to the colleges that the admission for Medical and Dental courses should be completed on or before 18 August 2018.
MCI also stated that the admission to these deemed Universities which are based on NEET will begin from 10 July 2018. The result for the NEET exam is likely to be announced by early June 2018.
NEET is an Undergraduate (UG) level entrance exam in India. The exam is conducted for the students who want to take admission in top medical government and private colleges and complete their bachelor’s degree in different medical courses (MBBS, Dental course BDS) and postgraduate courses (MD/MS). NEET UG for MBBS and Medical Courses is conducted every year by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
Medical Colleges that will not accept NEET Score
Undergraduate courses at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, Postgraduate Institute (PGI) for Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) are outside the NEET’s preview. This is done because these institutes were earlier set up by separate laws.
