CBSE 10th,12th result 2018 will not be delayed. There are speculations about the delay in board exam result following the leak of CBSE Class 10 and 12 question papers. Addressing these speculations, the Board said that alleged leaks have not impacted evaluation process in any way. On 4 April, CBSE has also clarified that CBSE 10th Result & CBSE 12th result will be declared on time since the evaluation process for both the classes is going as per schedule. The result for CBSE 10th was expected to be delayed due to paper leak but the Board has finally decided that CBSE 10th Maths Retest will not be conducted. Even though a retest in Class 12 Economics has been announced still the board has announced that the 10th, 12th Result 2018 will be announced on time. Class 10 exams were conducted from 5 March to 4 April 2018. Class 12th exams started on 5 March and will conclude on 13 April 2018. Result for 10th and 12th by CBSE will be announced on time.
Following the CBSE paper leak, CBSE had initially announced retest both Class 10 Maths and Class 12 Economics. But later the board decided not to conduct Class 10 maths retest and retest for class 12 economics will be on 25 April 2018.

Evaluation By Board has been Strengthened
Due to last year’s errors in totalling of marks, the board strengthened the evaluation process this year. This time every answer sheet will be checked by two examinees. Last year there were many instances of re-totalling errors, for instance, after the declaration of the Class 12 results last year; A Mumbai student scored 50 in maths but after verification, his marks were revised to 90 marks.
CBSE 10th Result 2018 Expected Date
There is no official date for board exam results. However, looking at the previous year trends, Class 10 result is expected to be announced in the very first week of June 2018. Class 12 result will be announced by the last week of May 2018. CBSE 10 and 12th Result will be declared online. To check the result candidates will require;
- Roll Number
- Date of Birth (in this format- DD/MM/YYYY)
- School Number
This year approx 11,86,306 students registered for class 12 exam and 16,38,428 students for class 10. Last year pass percentage of Class 10 and 12 was 90.95% and 82% respectively.
CBSE 10th Result 2018 - Evaluation Process
The centralised evaluation process for Class 10 and 12 has already started. This year the board is taking extreme care in board assessment guidelines and checking of answer sheets, some of them being;
- Head and Assistant Head Examiners have given more responsibility and they have more accountability this year.
- Every assistant head examiners will have four examiners (Teachers) to be grouped in twos. Each examinee will check the answer sheets separately.
- Ones all the answer sheets are checked 10% random copies will be rechecked by the Assistant Head Examiner.
An official said, “This would ensure another layer of checking to avoid calculation errors. The examiners will also cross-check the evaluated answers multiple times with the marking schemes so that evaluation process is secured”.
