AICTE Scholarship is credited to the latest Aadhar linked Bank Account of students. These scholarships are released for the students through Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) under various schemes. The government of India has given the directions that the (All India Council for Technical Education) AICTE scholarship will be released to the Aadhar linked bank accounts of the students.
AICTE Scholarship for Degree and Diploma Students
AICTE scholarship is offered to all the students on the basis of merit and need. There are mainly four scholarship schemes given to the students of India, who are studying in AICTE approved institutions in India. More than 10,000 students every year get the benefit of scholarships offered by AICTE and there are more than 8000 institutions which are affiliated to AICTE. The four scholarships offered by AICTE are:
- AICTE JK Scholarship
- AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls
- AICTE Saksham Scholarship
- AICTE PG Scholarship
AICTE Scholarship credited to Latest Aadhar Linked Bank Accounts of Students - Highlights of the News
This month the scholarships are released for the students through DBT to student's latest aadhar linked account.
As per AICTE notification, this step was taken as there were many instances reported claiming that the AICTE scholarship amount is credited to the other bank accounts operated by the students rather than the one which is listed with AICTE. But UIDAI guidelines have made it clear that it does not matter that how many accounts are owned by the student, only the latest account will be linked to Aadhar to receive the benefit under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). From now on the scholarship amount will be automatically credited to the latest Aadhar linked Bank Account. The original Aadhar linked bank account will not be able to receive the scholarship amount.
So the students who are going to receive this scholarship through Direct Benefit Transfer are advised to verify all their bank account details, which is linked to Aadhar Card. In order to receive the scholarship amount, candidates should check that their latest bank account linked with Aadhar should be in proper working condition. If their account will not be active then the chances of a failed transaction may arise.
