VCI Counselling 2017 for 15% All India Veterinary Seats - Allocation Result

VCI Counselling 2017 for B.V.Sc. & A.H. Course for all the shortlisted candidates has been started from 11 September 2017. The allotment of seats will be done from 18 to 19 September 2017. The eligible candidates will be called for counselling for final admission as per rank in Merit List of the category they have applied. Only candidates who have appeared in NEET are eligible for Counselling and has to register for the counselling process. In the counselling process, the candidates have to fill the choices for college. This is the counselling only for the 15% All India Quota Seats.(Except Jammu and Kashmir). On this page, the candidates can get the details regarding the VCI Counselling 2017.

VCI Counselling process starts from 11 September and ends on 18 September 2017. The allotment letter will be issued to the candidates on 19 September 2017. VCI has earlier notified the dates and now the dates have been extended which is given in the table below.

Latest Update: Allotment Result and Allocation List of the candidates have been released officially. Scroll down to get the Allocation List of candidates allocated against remaining vacant seats under 15% All India Quota 2017-18 (26-September-2017).

The VCI Counseling for the allocation of the vacant seats will be done and the counselling call letters will be issued to the candidates from 26 September 2017 onwards which can also be downloaded from the link given below.

VCI COunselling

VCI has released the provisional allotment result and along with this, the VCI has also released the allocation list of the seat for VCI Counselling. A list of 433 students is released by VCI. The details are given on towards the end of this page.

  • The candidates do not need to lock their choices. The last saved choices will automatically be locked at 11:00 AM on 18 September 2017
  • VCI has released the revised counselling schedule. Earlier, the counselling process was ending on 13 September 2017 which has now been extended up to 18 September 2017. Apart from this, other dates have also been changed.

The notification regarding the VCI Counselling has released and the registration for the counselling has begun from 11 September 2017. It is because the Veterinary Council of India is a little bit late in releasing the notification. VCI Counselling 2017 will be conducted by Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for 15% of All India Seats. 

  • Application Closed! 

The candidates will be called for the counselling based on their NEET score. The candidates would be needed to join the colleges allotted by the VCI immediately after the process gets over. The first round of the counselling will be conducted for candidates placed on the Merit list and Waitlist) including reserved category. No individual call letters will be sent to the candidates to attend the counselling.

VCI Counselling has released the provisional allotment result for the counselling process held on 26 September 2017. VCI Counselling 2017 Based on NEET Score

VCI Counselling for  All India Seat:
Counselling for admission to BVSc and AH Course for 15% All India Quota Seats will be carried out by Veterinary Council of India. The counselling will be conducted through online mode and the registration will be done from 11 September 2017. The complete schedule of the VCI Counselling has been released.

VCI Counselling for State Quota seats: Counselling for admission to BVSc and AH course in the participating states for state quota seats will be carried out by the respective state. The counselling of the eligible candidates will be done in the participating veterinary college through the merit list of NEET 2017.

Steps for VCI Counselling (Based on NEET Score)

Exercising of Choice Filling and Locking – The choice for Veterinary colleges can be selected and locked by candidates by clicking on save button. While exercising choices for colleges, a candidate can interchange their opted choices number of times. But once the choice is locked and saved by candidates they cannot be either changed or unlocked. Once the choice is locked by candidates, the list of selected Veterinary colleges as per choice will appear on the screen for printing.

AIPVT 2017 Exam Cancelled: Admission based on NEET 2017.

Seat Allotment – The seats will be allotted to candidates according to their rank and in order of choice opted for Veterinary colleges. 

Publication of Result for allotment –The candidate can check his/her result on the Council’s website by clicking link Result. The result will have the detail of allotted college to candidates as per their merit of choice and rank. 

Reporting to Allotted Veterinary College – Candidates have to report to allotted Veterinary colleges within the given dates to complete admission formalities.

Documents to be carried for VCI Counselling

Counselling will be held as per the Category Rank (UR/SC/ST/URPH/SCPH/STPH) only

Candidates have to carry the below-mentioned documents in original along with an attested copy of the documents for verification. If in case the candidate does not carry these documents it might lead to the cancellation of the candidature.

  • Downloaded NEET Admit card.
  • Downloaded NEET Rank letter
  • Class 10 Certificate or Date of Birth Certificate
  • Class 12 Mark sheet/ Certificate
  • Provisional Certificate of Qualifying Examination will be accepted only if the candidate has passed in the year 2017 only.
  • Character Certificate
  • Four latest passport size coloured Photographs
  • One Postcard size coloured Photograph (same as uploaded at the time of filling Online Application Form).
  • Proof of identity (Voter ID Card/Aadhar Card/ID Card of College or School)
  • Proof of Admission in the College (Fee receipt by those who have been allotted seats during 1st/ 2nd round of counselling during spot counselling)

Students from Jammu and Kashmir: The candidates who have uploaded Self Declaration claiming their eligibility under 15% All India Quota shall have to submit an affidavit as per Appendix-IV on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs.10 duly attested by Metropolitan Magistrate/ First Class Judicial Magistrate.

VCI Counselling and Admission Fee

  • VCI Counselling fee - will be notified soon.
  • Admission Fee - Candidates who will be confirmed the admission will be required to deposit part Non-Refundable admission fee via Demand Draft/ Pay Order drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Veterinary Council of India” payable at New Delhi with the VCI.
  • In case admission is taken by the candidate in the college allotted by the Counseling Committee, the same shall be adjusted in the admission fee.

Important Points to Remember regarding VCI Counselling

  • If in case the candidate fails to appear in person on the specified date and time for whatsoever reason shall forfeit the claim for a seat under 15% All India quota.
  • Seats will be allotted by seniority in merit and subject to availability of seats in a particular Veterinary College at the time and date of allotment.
  • The Allotment shall be closed immediately after the seats reserved for the purpose are filled.
  • Allocation letter will be given to the selected candidates on the day of Counselling
  • There is no provision for re-counselling
  • Request for change of seats once allocated to a candidate will not be entertained
