JEE Main Paper 2 Result 2018 is to be announced on 31 May, by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Only candidates who appeared for paper 2 entrance examination on 8 April 2018, can check JEE 2018 result. In order to download JEE Main result paper 2, candidates need to log in using roll number and date of birth in the required space. The result of JEE Main paper 2 contains the topic-wise scores secured, overall marks and All India Rank. Besides that, JEE Main cut off and qualifying status will also be mentioned in the result. JEE Main paper 2 result is to be calculated on the basis of official answer key and responses in the answer sheet. JEE Main Paper 2 Result can be checked by the candidates by entering their Roll Number and Date of Birth. JEE Main Paper 2 has been conducted only in Pen & Paper Based Mode. It is to be noticed by the candidates that if in case, the candidate has cleared JEE Main Paper 2, but he/she has not cleared JEE Main Paper 1, still he/she is not eligible to appear in the Architecture Aptitude Test which is being conducted in order to give admission in the two IIT’s that offers Architecture Course.
JEE Main Paper 2 Result based on Answer Key 2018
CBSE will release the JEE Main Paper 2 Answer Key on 24 April 2018. The students will be able to tally their marks with the help of answer key. The students will also get the facility to challenge the answer keys if they have any objection regarding the released answer keys. The (JEE Main Paper 2 Answer Key 2017) is available.
JEE Main Paper 2 Rank List
JEE Main paper 2 consists of three sections– Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing test. The rank list of JEE Main will be prepared on the basis of scores obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (Main). If the marks of two or more candidates will be equal, then, CBSE will follow the tie-breaking procedure using the procedure mentioned below.
- Marks obtained in Aptitude Test in paper 2 – Candidates securing higher marks in aptitude marks will be allotted better rank.
- Marks obtained in Drawing Test – Higher the rank in drawing test, better will be the rank.
- Positive and negative marks – If the tie still exists, then the ratio of positive and negative marks will be considered. Candidates with the higher absolute value of ratio will be awarded better rank.
- Same rank – At last, if the tie-breaking is not possible, then all aspirants will be allotted the same rank.
Seat allotment in Case of JEE Main Paper 2
JEE Main Paper 2 Result is declared the students can check JEE Main Score as well as the Rank. JEE Main Paper 2 Result is valid only for the NITs and Architecture Colleges that would be accepting JEE Main Paper 2 Score. Not all NITs offer B.Arch Course. The paper 2 score is not valid for, admission in IITs B.Arch course.
For admission in IITs, the candidate first has to clear JEE Main Paper 1, >> Then JEE Advanced and then >> Architecture Aptitude Test
Seat Allotment for B.Arch would be done on through Josaa counselling. In NITs the around 50% seats are reserved for state domicile students and rest are all India seats. If the candidate belongs to the state in which the NIT doesn't offer B.Arch course then they are at a disadvantage as they will not be able to get the benefit of State Domicile Quota and will only be eligible for All India Quota Seats. Check the NITs that offer B.Arch Course. If students do not score a good score to get a college through JEE Paper 2 Score then they should definitely try NATA.
