The result of the Maulana Azad National Fellowship for the year 2017 -18 has been released. There are total 756 students get selected for the award of fellowship for the year 2017 -18 under the scheme of Maulana Azad Fellowship for Minority Students.
Following is the list of selected candidates for award of fellowship for the year 2017-18 under the scheme of Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students during financial year 2016-17. The result available on this page is for the General, OBC, SC and ST category for all the minority community students. The candidates are suggested to go through the list attached below.
Maulana Azad National Fellowship Selection Process
- The selection Process will be based on Merit cum Mean basis. All the applications received will be inspected and shortlisted by the Commission and will be chosen accordingly.
- The decision taken by the Commission will be final and abiding. Therefore, no objection in this regard will be considered
- If the candidates get shortlisted, his/ her duly signed Joining Report by the supervisor/ head of department is to be sent to the UGC through the Registrar/ Director/ Principal.
About Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students
Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) for Minority Students is conducted and sponsored by Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA). MANF is only applicable for postgraduate students who belong to the Minority Community (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) & Jains) are eligible for the Fellowship to pursue higher studies such as regular and full-time M.Phil/ PhD degrees in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology.
The motto of the Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students is to provide integrated five-year fellowships in the form of financial assistance to students from minority communities to pursue higher studies such as M. Phil and PhD Every Year Total fellowships offered for all subjects are 756. 3% fellowships are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates belonging to Minority Candidates.
