About BHU BVSc & AH Admission

BHU BVSc & AH Admission application process will start soon for the admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry Course. The admission in BHU BVSc & AH program will be based on Undergraduate Entrance Test (BHU UET) conducted by Banaras Hindu University. Candidates have to appear and clear this UET examination to get admission in BVSc & AH program. To participate in this entrance test, candidates required to fill the up the UET 2018 online application form. The last date of BHU BVSc & AH Admission application form submission is 1st week of March 2018.

  • The admissions shall be made strictly on the basis of merit list of the UET and availability of seats in the course. The BVSc & AH program will be conducted at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus (RGSC), Barkachha, Mirzapur for the admission to the 30 seats of the course.

The Banaras Hindu University has released the date of BVSc & AH entrance test. The candidates are hereby informed that the entrance test for the BVSc and AH course will be held on 1 April 2018 at Delhi and Varanasi Centre only.

BHU BVSc & AH Admission Eligibility criteria

  • Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Candidates must have clear Higher Secondary (10+2) or the Indian School Certificate Examination or Intermediate examination (or equivalent examination) in Science from a recognized Board/University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which shall include a practical test in these subjects) and English securing at least 50% marks in aggregate and must have passed each of the aforesaid subjects individually.
  • For Reserved Category: In the case of SC/ST candidates, must have scored at least minimum 40% marks in aggregate in qualifying examinations and in English securing at least 40% marks in aggregate and must have passed each of the aforesaid subjects individually.
  • Age: The age of candidates is not to be less than 17 years and not more than 25 years on 1 July 2018 (Applicant should be born on or after 1 July 1993 and on or before 1 July 2001).
    • There is an age relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST and PC categories and 3 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to OBC category for admissions in B.V.Sc. & A.H. course

BHU BVSc & AH Admission Application form and Admit Card

The entire application process of UET examination can be filled through online mode for admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses during the academic session 2018-19. Those candidates who desire to appear in UET exam must fill the application form. After online submission of application form and successful payment of Application Processing/ Test Fee, candidates are advised to take a printout of the online filled up application form for future reference. Candidates should visit the official website of Banaras Hindu University or click on the following link to fill the application form.

Application Form Submission

The application form is to be filled up and submitted through online mode. Candidates have to upload the scan copy of their photograph and signature in the application form as per instruction is given in the portal. After the candidate has filled up the application form online and clicks on the "Confirm‟ button for final submission.

Payment of BHU BVSc & AH Application Fee

After filling the application form, candidates have to pay the application fee of UET examination. Candidates have following options for payment of Application Processing/Entrance Test Fee:

  • Online Payment: Candidates can pay the entrance test fee through credit card/ debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance test portal.
  • Offline Payment: Candidates can also pay the entrance test fee in Cash through “Challan” in any branch of HDFC Bank. Candidates who choose the offline mode for fee submission must print the Challan from the entrance test portal. The printout of challan will contain all necessary details of the candidate, bank account details of the Banaras Hindu University in which the entrance test fee will be deposited and the exact amount to be deposited. Candidates will be required to visit any branch of the HDFC Bank of their choice (only during banking hours on any banking day) where they will be required to deposit the requisite Fee amount to the Bank.

The UET BVSc & AH Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website of Banaras Hindu University from the last week of March 2018. Download BHU BVSc & AH Admit Card by following the given link. Email/SMS alert regarding loading of Admit Card will also be sent to the email id/mobile phone number registered by the candidate by BHU.

Unable to download BHU BVSc & AH Admit Card 2018

In case the candidate is unable to download the Admit Card till 3 days before the date of the Test, he/she should contact the office of the Controller of Examinations, BHU (Varanasi) on the helpline number given towards the end of the page. A passport size photograph is required to be affixed (same passport size photograph which has been used for online submission) in the space provided on the printout of the Admit Card under self-attestation.

BHU BVSc & AH Admission Fees

The candidates are required to pay the application fee before the successful submission of the application form. The application fee as per the table is given below is to be submitted in online mode.

The BVSc & AH Course is to be conducted at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus (RGSC), Barkachha, Mirzapur regular fees of the approximately of Rs.56,000 per year as prescribed by the University. For SC/ST Caste candidates.

BHU BVSc & AH Admission Result and Counselling

The selection of candidates in BHU BVSc & AH course will be done on the basis of UET Merit List and satisfies all the eligibility requirements. Candidates will get admission if they qualify for the Entrance Test and complete all formalities required for admission in the course. The admission process will begin after the declaration of UET results. Candidates whose name is listed in the UET merit list will be called for the counselling process. The concerned Head of the Department/ Coordinator will issue electronic call letters to the candidates for Counselling. Only those candidates who are selected/ waitlisted shall be informed through a Call Letter (to be downloaded from the Entrance Test Postal) by the concerned Dean of Faculty/Head of the Department, BHU about their admission.

In case of Tie

  • Preference shall be given to the candidates who have a higher aggregate percentage of marks at the Qualifying Examination. However, for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. the aggregate marks in Science subjects shall only be considered for this purpose.
  • In case the candidates have equal marks in the above-stated Examinations, then the candidate senior in age shall be given preference.

  • Transfer Certificate
  • Migration Certificate, if passed from a university other than BHU (To be submitted not later than 90 days of admission)
  • High School Certificate/equivalent Certificate
  • Intermediate (+2) Certificate/equivalent Certificate
  • Mark sheets of High School/equivalent & Intermediate (+2)/equivalent
  • Mark sheet of the Qualifying Examination
  • UET Admit Card issued from the office of the Controller of Examinations, BHU
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificate on the basis of which reserved quota seat is claimed

  • Duration of UET: 150 Minutes
  • Carrying Total Marks: 600 marks
  • Number of Questions: 200 questions (Based on +2 examination or equivalent)
  • Mode of Question: Multiple Choice Questions
