About MGIMS MBBS 2017

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS) admission in 5 years MBBS course will be based on NEET Score. There are in all 100 MBBS seats in MGIMS Wardha. The Medical College is open for admission to students from all over India. MGIMS PMT Exam was conducted April 17, 2016 (Sunday) in Pen & Paper Based mode and later it was cancelled as per orders of Honourable Supreme Court.

Latest Update: The candidate who wishes to take admission in MGIMS needs to apply online on the MGIMS official website along with their NEET scores. The candidates can apply for admission until August 23, 2016, on the official website of MGIMS.

  • MGIMS Wardha MBBS admission will be done only on the basis of merit obtained in the NEET Exam
  • A copy of the MGIMS MBBS prospectus will be sent to the candidate on receipt of the copy of the challan stamped paid by the bank.

MGIMS MBBS 2017 Eligibility criteria

  • Age Limit: The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years as on  or before December 31, 2016 which is the year of admission.
  • Academic Eligibility:  Candidate must have passed Class 12 examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognised Board or any Indian University.
    • Candidate must have passed Class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in first attempt.
    • Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

MGIMS MBBS 2017 Application form and Admit Card

As per the notification of UGC, the NEET scores is required for admission to MGIMS MBBS admission as NEET is now a common entrance exam for admission in any government and private medical colleges in India. Therefore, to apply for the admission into MBBS/BDS course, the candidates need to submit their NEET score.

NEET Application Form

Candidates can fill the MGIMS PMT 2016 Application Form via any one of the two modes mentioned below:

  • Mode 1: Candidates can get the Application Form by paying only Rs 5000 in cash at the Cash counter of Account Section in premises of Administrative Complex of KHS and MGIMS.
  • Mode 2: Candidates can get MGIMS PMT 2016 application form by paying Rs. 5000 to State Bank of India through bank challan.

If the candidate wants to submit the fee by bank challan they are required to download the Bank Challan, fill the information required and submit 
Kindly Note: Candidate must make sure to fill in the full name address with pin code number on which the candidate wants to receive the prospectus and phone number for communication in the space provided on the challan form so that the prospectus can be sent to the given address.

Steps involved in the Online Application Process

  • Download the bank Challan from the official website
  • MGIMS PMT 2016 Challan will have a place to mention details such as name, the address where candidates want to receive an application form, phone number etc.
  • Fill up all the details in Challan and take a print out in A4 size paper
  • MGIMS PMT 2016 Challan is in three copies and applicants need to send one original copy to the university.

Submission of the Application Form

Candidates need to send the Original Copy to the below-mentioned address by the last date specified:  The last date of receipt of filled up application is March 18, 2016.

The cost of application form is same for all the candidates.

  • Candidates are required to pay Rs. 5000 towards the application Fee charges.

MGIMS MBBS 2017 Result and Counselling

MGIMS Admission process for the candidates will be based on the NEET scores. The eligibility list based on NEET merit is expected to be announced by August 29, 2016, on MGIMS official website.

List of Documents required for Verification

The following list of documents will be required for verification at the time of Counselling for the selected candidates:

  • Nationality Certificate
  • Proof of Date of birth or SSC certificate
  • H.S.C or 10+2 examination mark sheet
  • Transfer or College Leaving Certificate from the college last attended.
  • Attempt Certificate showing that the candidate has passed the qualifying examination in the first attempt.
  • Migration Certificate:
  • The students who have not passed Class 12 or equivalent from Maharashtra State Board.
    • Migration Certification from the University last attended.
  • Character Certificate from the college/School last attended.
  • 4 passport size photograph
  • NEET Admit Card and NEET Marksheet
  • Softcopy of all the document in JPG or PDF format below 500 KB; photo and signature of the candidate files must be below 5 KB.

MGIMS MBBS 2017 Exam pattern

  • Paper 1: Objective Type Questions on physics, chemistry and mathematics.
  • Paper 2: Long and Short Questions based on Gandhian Thoughts 
  • Duration: 3 hours(180 minutes) for both Paper 1 and 2
  • Negative Marking: There will be no Negative Marking
