CENTA TPO 2019 Teaching Professionals' Olympiad

CENTA TPO 2019 (Teaching Professionals' Olympiad) is open to teachers across all boards, subjects, and classes. It is open to teachers of government and private schools. Registration for CENTA TPO is now open for all school teachers, principals, supplemental teachers, volunteers and fellows, B.Ed/D. Ed students and anyone interested in teaching. This is the fourth edition of CENTA TPO 2019 and is being held in 50 cities across India and two additional centres in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with 21 subject tracks for Indian candidates and 14 for Dubai candidates.

CENTA TPO is one of the many Olympiad exams that are conducted in India. TPO 2019 is supported by The Hindu. CENTA TPO to be conducted on 14 December 2019. TPO was conducted in three time-slots on the day of Olympiad. The Registrations for the Teachers Olympiad started in April 2019

CENTA TPO 2019 Dates

 Given below are the dates related to CENTA TPO 2019.

CENTA TPO is an objective test for Teachers. The Test will be divided into 4 sections

• Subject Expertise
• Classroom Communication and Professional Competencies
• Student Assessment (subject-specific and generic)
• Content Development (subject-specific and generic)

The teachers will be rewarded for their competencies. Primarily, it is for the school teachers or people entering this profession but any graduate applicant can appear in this Olympiad to understand their competency for Teaching.

• TPO is quite different from the tests teachers take for regulatory requirements and it was a 2 hours computer-based test and registration fee of TPO single test track is Rs. 650. Candidates registering before 30 June 2019 had to pay an early bird fee of Rs 590 only which is inclusive of GST.
• Olympiad was based on the CENTA draft teacher standards. The Hindu and reliance foundation are the primary partners for TPO 2019 and Varkey Foundation, Central Square Foundation are additional supporters.

Candidates have to apply online using the official website of CENTA TPO 2019 presented by the Hindu.

If the Teacher's Olympiad is not being conducted in your city, then you can choose the nearest city for the exam. The participant has to bear the travelling and accommodation cost by themselves to appear in the exam.

• STEP 4: Fee Submission: Candidates are required to pay on-refundable Application Fee via any one of the modes discussed below:

CENTA TPO 2019 Test Centres

 CENTA TPO 2019 will be conducted in more than 50 cities in India and below is the list of TPO 2019 test cities

CENTA TPO International Test Center: Dubai and Abu Dhabi

• Duration of the Exam: The two-hour Computer Based test had objective type questions including practical competencies of teaching in an innovative manner, through situation responses.
• Time Slots: TPO was conducted in 3-time slots from 9 am to11am, from 12 pm to 2 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm. For candidates living in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the TPO was conducted in 3 time-slots of 7:30 am to 9:30 am, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
  • The participants can give their  preference of location within each city and time slot 

CENTA TPO Exam Pattern

The questions will be based on the below mentioned three standards.

• There are no sectional time limits and you can attempt the sections in any order
• Standard: There are easy, moderate and difficult questions, with different marks for each.
• There is no Negative Marking.
• Mode: Computer-based test

CENTA TPO Syllabus

CENTA TPO Syllabus is the same NCERT Syllabus hence the candidates can refer the NCERT textbooks for any subject. The questions asked will be application-oriented and situational-based and require a good conceptual understanding of the subject.

CENTA TPO Admit Card will be released soon by CENTA for the exam to be conducted on 14 December 2019. Candidates can download CENTA TPO Admit Card by following the steps given below

CENTA TPO Result

CENTA TPO Result has been declared on 30 January 2019. The candidate can check CENTA TPO Result by logging in the website of CENTA TPO. The result shows the rank of the candidate. CENTA TPO Rank Distribution will be in the following manner

• National Rank - 1 to 500
• Subject Rank - 1 to 50 per subject track
• Regional Rank - 1 to 50 per region
• City Rank - 1 to 10 per city
