World Robot Olympiad 2016 event is scheduled to be conducted on November 26 and 27 at the India Expo Centre, Noida. The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is one of the biggest competitions for robotics in India. In this international championship, over 2000 candidates from 55 countries are participating. The result of this World Robot Olympiad will be declared on November 28, 2016.
World Robot Olympiad is organised by India Stem Foundation and National Council of Science and Museum. This year's theme is “Rap the Scrap”. Each game in the Regular and the Open Category will be around reducing, recycling and managing waste.
Venue: India Expo Centre, Greater Noida
Timing: 10 am to 5 pm.
The main objective to organise World Robot Olympiad is to enhance the knowledge of science & technology for the young minds. This event helps the students to develop their creative & problem-solving skills. Students between 9 and 25 years can participate in this competition. A team of three students from any institution can participate in this competition. In this competition, all participants need to build & design robot model that look and behave like a human athlete. There are four categories in this competition namely;
- Advanced Robotics Challenge
- Open Category
- WRO Football
- Regular Category.
In these categories, all participant teams have to create & design robots that look and behave like a human athlete by recycling the waste material. Through this competition, all young minds will learn more about the advanced technology and also develop their problem-solving abilities.
