St. Stephen's College announces its First Cut Off List for 2014-15 | Written Test for Economics Students

St. Stephen’s ends student’s long enduring wait by announcing its 2014-15 first cut-off List. St. Stephen’s first cut-off which came much before the expected cut-off by DU ( DU First Cut off list to be announced on June 24, 2014) . St. Stephen's College follows a separate admission process from DU and the college is expected to see more rush than the previous years on the first day of admission

English (Honours) Course has the highest cut-off  percentage that is 98% for commerce students, Sanskrit is lowest at 65%. While courses like Economics, Mathematics, English, History.

Different Cut Offs for Students of Different Streams

Philosophy requires students from commerce background to score 1 to 2.5 % more than students from Humanities/Arts background.  Whereas the students who wish to pursue Sanskrit from any backgrounds (science, commerce and humanities) needs to have a minimum percentage of 65%.

The science courses like Chemistry and Physics have a very minute difference of 0.33% between them.

Interviews the Deciding Factor

The students who have applied for the course and have also obtained the minimum cut off marks will be called for an interview for the admission into various courses by the college.

Written Test for Economics Students

Students who have qualified for Economics Honours Course and are shortlisted for Interview will have to undergo a written Test. The Test would be conducted in two sessions per day

Morning Session- Interviews slotted for pre lunch
7.45 a.m. to 8 a.m. 

Afternoon Session- Interviews after Lunch

1.45 p.m. to 2.00 p.m.
