NTSE Exam Dates 2018 has been released by NCERT. The NTSE Exam Stage 1 will be held on the 4 November 2018 in all the States/UTs of the country except Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya and Andaman & Nicobar Islands where the exam will be held on 3 November 2018. The NTSE Exam Stage 2 will be held on 12 May 2019. The students studying in Class 10 in any recognized school are eligible to appear in the NTSE Exam. NTSE National Talent Search Examination is a prestigious scholarship exam in India conducted by NCERT for Class 10 students. The NTSE Exam is conducted at two stages, stage 1 is state/UT level exam and stage 2 is a national level exam. The students selected for NTSE Scholarship will get Rs. 1250 per month while studying in Class 11 and 12. During undergraduate and postgraduate studies, the students will get Rs. 2000 per month as scholarship amount. The scholarship has to be renewed every year on the basis of the academic performance.
NTSE 2018 New Changes
The NTSE Information Brochure has released on 4 July 2018. The NTSE detailed brochure has released for the first time this year. NCERT has introduced some new changes this year. For Stage 2, the NCERT has implemented OBC Reservation in NTS Scheme from the year 2018-19. There will be 27% reservations for OBC students from the year 2019 onwards as per central norms subject to the income limit notified by the Government of India.

NTSE 2018 Important Points
- NTSE Exam is conducted at two levels: State/UT Level and National Level. NTSE Application Form 2018 for stage 1 exam will be available at different dates by different State and UTs.
- There is no application fee for NTSE Stage 2 Exam.
- The Indian citizens studying in abroad are eligible to appear in NTSE Stage 2 Exam. However, they must have secured 60% marks in Class 9.
- The NTSE Exam will consist of two tests: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).
- There is no negative marking in NTSE Exam. However, the candidate will get one mark for the correct response.
- The candidates can download the NTSE Admit Card (Stage 2) 21 days before the NTSE Exam
