JEE Main 2017 Application Form Date Extended to 16 January 2017. Earlier, the last date of application submission was 2 January 2017. Now candidates have enough time to pay their JEE Main 2017 Application Fee. However, there is no such changes have been seen elsewhere in the JEE Mains Schedule. The Pen and Paper based test of JEE Main 2017 will be conducted on April 2 and the Computer based test will be held on April 8 and 9, 2017 from 0930-1230 Hours (IST) and 1400-1700 Hours (IST)-if required.
JEE Main 2017 examination will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.
Spotlight on Other New Changes
- Now there is no weightage for class 12 marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination.
- Those candidates who qualified in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75 percent marks in class 12 examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the class 12 examination conducted by the respective boards. SC/ST candidates required at least 65% marks in class 12 examination.
Many private engineering colleges stopped conducting their entrance exams and started accepting the JEE Main score for admission. Those students who are willing to get admission in the engineering or architecture courses across the country should appear in the JEE Main Exam.
