An academic relation has been established between Jamia Millia Islamia and Iranian University. Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) and Iran's Al-Mustafa International University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a long-term academic collaboration in the field of research, education and innovation. Vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof Talat Ahmad and Dr Ali Reza Arafi, Vice Chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University together signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Prof Talat Ahmad, VC of Jamia Millia Islamia University was speaking on the occasion; "common academic areas should be explored and identified for research and exchange of faculty and students as well", he said. He also said that the rich culture of Iran and India should be studied to develop a better understanding of Research, Innovation and Teaching. This will also promote an international understanding and undertaking of interdisciplinary studies.
Details of MoU signed between JMI and Iranian University
According to an official from Jamia Millia Islamia University, after signing the MoU, both the University will be now able to collaborate in the field of;
- Restructuring of courses
- Development of new methods of teaching and learning.
Exchanging Students, Faculties and much more - Now both universities can exchange faculty and students for research collaborations in humanities, Persian language & literature, culture, management mass communication and Islamic studies besides conducting seminars, workshops, joint conferences and they the two universities can also share the academic data, publications and intellectual property.
