ICAR AIEEA 2018 - Changes introduced in Application, Other changes

On 18 May, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) released All India Entrance Examinations for Admission (AIEEA) 2018. Along with AIEEA application form 2018, ICAR has also announced the schedule of the test. The last date for ICAR AIEEA registration 2018 is 31 May 2018. The ICAR application fee has increased as compared to last year. For the first time, ICAR will be conducting AIEEA in a computer-based mode on 22 and 23 June 2018 in various centres located across the country. The entrance test will be held for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the Agricultural colleges in India.

While filling the application form, aspirants must make sure that they fill all the details carefully and submit the same within the last date. While filling the form, students are required to upload the following documents and details -

• Coloured photograph with name and date
• Candidate’s signature
• Thumb impression
• Father’s/Mother’s/Guardian’s signature
• A declaration in his/her own handwriting

ICAR AIEEA 2018 Major changes

• Change in Examination mode: This year the exam will be conducted in the computer-based mode
• Changes in Steps for filling application form - This year there have been many changes in the steps to apply for ICAR AIEEA, the application is made quite student friendly and we have explained the step by step process to fill ICAR application form. The students also have the facility to edit the images uploaded by them while filling the application form.
• Increase in Application Fee for all categories -  The Application fee for ICAR  has increased by Rs. 200 for the categories.
• Exam Cities Increased - The exam will be conducted in 111 test cities this year for UG, 52 test cities for PG and 28 test cities for PhD Exam
• Application Submission: This year the applicant's need not send the hard copy of the application form to the ICAR office via post or courier.
• Availability of Mock Tests - Since ICAR 2018 will be held in a computer-based mode for the first time, the conducting body will provide the link for the practice test so that candidates can familiarise themselves with the test.  With the help of ICAR Mock Test, aspirants will be able to understand the online exam pattern and structure of the online exam.
• Aadhaar Card not compulsory - This year the Aadhaar card is not compulsory to be uploaded. The candidate can add Aadhaar number or 28 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID or passport number or ration card number or driving license number or any other valid Govt. identity card number.  The candidate only has to give the number and no need to upload the scanned copy.
  
• The release of answer key - This year the ICAR answer key will be released and the candidate will also be given a chance to challenge the answer key on payment of a fee. Till last year the answer key was not released by ICAR but the candidates were given a chance to inspect his / her own OMR answer sheet along with answer key or given a copy thereof if request is submitted by the candidate in his or her own handwriting and signature within 10 days from the date of declaration of result on ICAR website along with a copy of e-admit card, hard copy of online application form and Demand Draft of Rs.500.
