Delhi Pharmaceutical Science and Research (DPSR) University launched a sports pharmacy centre with an aim to establish this one as a model pharmacy centre in the world. The inauguration of the Sports Pharmacy was done on 17 October 2017. By doing so, the university has introduced a three year BSc course in sports science and two-year Diploma course in sports fitness, infrastructure and event management.
- As per the DPSRU, the pharmacy centre has been inaugurated to identify and bridge the gap in the drug industry. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia said - Research and Innovations should be its top priority. The enormous amount of money has been invested in the institutions like DPSRU. Hence, the students who pass out should think about what they can give back to the society.
- DPSRU has also introduced a three year BSc in Sports Science and Two-year Diploma in Sports Fitness, Infrastructure and Event Management.

DPSR University is a State University of the Govt.of NCT of Delhi and DIPSAR (which was earlier affiliated to Delhi University) is now, a constituent college of the DPSR University. Both DPSR and DIPSAR operate from in Pushp Vihar campus (located in South Delhi).
