UGC NET Result July Exam 2018 Released - Check Cut off Marks

UGC NET Result 2018 – The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the UGC NET result on 31 July 2018. CBSE NET Result 2018 is available online and a link to check the same is available here. CBSE UGC NET exam was held on 8 July while the answer keys were released on 24 July 2018. To check UGC NET result, candidates are required to enter their CBSE NET application number, roll number and date of birth. As per the candidate’s UGC NET result 2018, they will become eligible for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship or only Assistant Professor. To qualify in CBSE NET 2018, candidates must make sure that they a minimum of 40% aggregate of at least two papers. UGC NET Result 2018 – Steps to Download CBSE NET Result 

As mentioned above, a link is provided below to check UGC NET result 2018. Candidates can follow the procedure below to download CBSE NET score card. UGC NET Result 2018 has been declared by the UGC and the candidates who appeared in the exam can check the result and download the scorecard by providing the details. How is CBSE NET Result 2018 Prepared?

The UGC NET result 2018 will be prepared as per the following guidelines -

  • CBSE NET merit list will vary with subject and category of candidates
  • Candidates qualifying in CBSE NET 2018 shall be 6% of all the test takers
  • Qualifying marks will vary as per the category of candidates according to the reservation norms of Government of India
  • In order to qualify the test, candidates must secure at least 40% (Reserved and Transgender: 35%) aggregate in two papers
  • The following formula will be used to determine the number of candidates qualifying in the UGC NET 2018 - The total number of candidates belonging to a category securing the minimum UGC NET cutoff marks in both papers (multiplied by) Total Slots derived for that particular category (divided by) Total number of candidates applied under that category for all the subjects and securing the minimum cutoff marks.

After qualifying for UGC NET 2018 Exam

  • Assistant Professor: The candidates who qualify in NET for eligibility for Assistant Professor will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments.
  • Junior Research Fellowship: The candidates who qualify in the NET exam for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to receive the fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/institutions. The validity period of the offer is two years.

UGC NET Merit List 2018: Minimum Marks Needed

The following criteria are followed by CBSE for the declaration of the result:

Step 1: Minimum marks to be obtained in NET for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor: The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III as given below.

Step 2: Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a UGC NET merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.

Step 3: Top 15% candidates (for each subject and category), from the UGC NET merit list mentioned under step II, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only.

Step 4: A separate UGC NET merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step 3.

UGC NET 2018 Result Statistics for January Exam

The UGC will release the UGC NET 2018 result statistics for the General, OBC, SC and ST candidates. In November 2017 exam, the total number of candidates get selected were 22,382. The statistics are given below for each category and give us the figure of how much candidates get selected.

UGC NET Result - Answer Key & OMR Sheet

  • OMR Sheet and Answer keys for the 8 July 2018 exam has been released
  • The candidates who want to obtain their photocopy of OMR sheet along with the calculation sheet with a fee of Rs. 500 on or before the stipulated time. 
  • The candidates must mention their Roll No. Name, Address correctly in their Application. 
  • The fee must be paid through Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/Delhi issued by any scheduled bank to the following address:

Challenging UGC NET Answer Key 2018

  • The candidates can challenge the answers by filling the online application form on the website by paying online a sum of Rs 1000 per question within one month from the Declaration of the Result. 
  • In case the CBSE found the Answer Keys to be incorrect, it will process the result of the candidates for JRF or Assistant Professor. 
  • The candidates must send the application along with the supporting documents in the same address given above. 
  • The Subject of the Grievances must be" Grievances relating to Answer Key(s) of UGC-NET November 2018.
