JKCET Result 2018, Merit List (Declared) - Check Online

JKCET Result 2018 has been released on 15 May by JKBOPEE. JKCET 2018 result has been published in the form of merit list. Candidates who appeared in the entrance test can download the result of JKCET 2018. The link to download JKCET merit list has been provided on this page. On the basis of JKCET result 2018, students will be called for counselling process. Aspirants will be given admission to the undergraduate engineering courses on the basis of rank displayed on the JKCET 2018 result. JKCET entrance test was held on 22 April 2018. JKCET 2018 Result Card 

The result card of JKCET 2018 will be available once the merit list is published. To download the JKCET result card, aspirants must enter the required credentials in the space provided. the link to check JKCET result card 2018 will be made available as soon as it will be released by authority. JKCET result card will contain the name, father's name, category and gender of an aspirant. Besides this, it will also display the overall and subject-wise marks in JKCET 2018 and rank secured in the test.

It is mandatory for the candidates to download JKCET result and preserve it as it would be required at the time of counselling and admission process. The merit list for scholarship and other considerations would be prepared in the descending order for open merit category; however, for the reserved category, the merit list would be separately prepared.

Revaluation of JKCET Result

• The answer sheet of the candidates would be machine graded and hence there is no provision for revaluation of JKCET Result.
• But there is a possibility where the candidates can apply for the re-totalling of the marks by paying nominal charges of Rs. 1000. Before availing this option, the students should recheck the carbonless copy of the OMR sheets.
• Candidates must tally the answers with the JKCET answer keys released by JKBPOEE, but if they still have any doubts, they can resort to retotaling as the last option.
• The candidate will be required to give in writing for the retotaling service along with a nominal payment of Rs.1000 at BOPEE POS terminal in Srinagar/ Jammu.
• The process will only work if JKBPOEE has received and accepted the application within 3 days of the declaration of the result. There are few criteria that have to be followed from the candidate’s side.
• Questions deemed incorrect or with more options like 5 choices to select from, or there is any major printing error, such questions will not be entertained for Revaluation. But if a question has two legitimate answers, students giving any right answer will be awarded marks.

Candidates must note that the minimum marks to qualify JKCET is 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 40% in case of SC, ST and OBC.

JKCET Result 2018 - Tie-Breaking Method

There might be possibilities that two or more candidates may end up securing the same score, to streamline the merit and selection process, JAKBOPEE would resort to the following parameters.

• Higher marks in Biology in CET would be given a better rank.
• If marks in Biology are equal then rank would be based marks secured in Chemistry.
• In case both marks are same then the candidates with a higher age bracket will be considered.
• The counselling and seat allotment of the students is expected to begin after the declaration of JKCET Result 2017 and all students are expected to report on time.

JKCET Counselling 2018 - Check Counselling Schedule / Requirements

The counselling schedule for the year 2017 is released now, candidates have to come as per their scores on the given date. The counselling schedule will be notified soon. Meanwhile, the candidates can check the counselling schedule for the last year. JKCET Counselling Schedule 2017 for the B.E selected candidates are given below in the table. The candidates have to apply online for the counselling process by following the link given below.

JKCET Round 2 Counselling Schedule (Last year)

The counselling schedule for the Round 2 of the JKCET Counselling is given below. The candidates can apply afresh also. The candidates up to rank 6321 who could not participate in the round 1 counselling process can also participate in the 2nd round of counselling. The candidates who are participating for the first time will have to attend the BOPEE Office as per the schedule is given below along with the photocopies and the original of the documents given below.

For the candidates participating for the 1st time: The documents given above are required to be duly attested and must be stored in an envelope of 10x14 Inches. All such candidates are required to submit the fee of Rs 1200 through Credit Debit Card only.

JKCET Counselling Fee Refund

There would be a refund of Rs. 500 that the candidates can claim if they withdraw from the counselling. No refund of the fee would be entertained if the candidate is unable to attend the counselling due to any reason. Withdrawal of counselling is allowed from first round only. List of colleges and the courses offered in each college are given in the table below.

JKCET Counselling Order for Allotment After Result

Candidates will be first considered for allotment of GCET-Jammu. If on merit, the candidate does not qualify for allotment of such a seat, or no seat is available at his or her turn he/she can then be considered for allotment of MIETJammu, then for MBS Jammu, then for SSM Srinagar, then for YCET Jammu and finally for Engineering in BCET Jammu.

JKCET Counselling  - Document Verification Process

The candidate has to appear in person for document verification process which is scheduled to be conducted on 19, 20 and 21 June 2017. Candidates have to produce the original documents at the time of the document verification process. The candidates are advised to reach the document verification centres as per the schedule is given below of Last year.
