National Institute of Bank Management Admission Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates must have a valid score card of CAT 2018 / ATMA (February 2018) / CMAT (2018) examination, NIBM will use scores for selection.
  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply.

Instruction to fill the NIBM Pune Application Form

  • STEP 1: Candidates are advised to fill all mandatory fields very carefully; incomplete forms will not be accepted.
  • STEP 2: Before filling the application form, candidates should keep the scanned copies of the following items ready to be uploaded.
    • Latest passport size photograph (jpg file only - file size should not exceed 100 kb)
    • Admit Card/Score Card of qualifying exam CAT 2017/ ATMA 2018/ CMAT 2018 (jpg file only - file size should not exceed 100 kb)
  • STEP 3: Name of Candidate and Registration Number to be filled as in the Admit Card of qualifying exam.
  • STEP 4: Candidates can fill in details of more than one qualifying exam at a time.
  • STEP 5: Graduation/ Post-Graduation marks to be entered as "Percentage of Marks" and calculated based on the practice followed by the awarding University/ Institution. In case of Grades/ CGPA, the same must be converted to "Percentage of Marks" based on procedure certified by the awarding University/ Institution. Those who are in the final year, enter the average percentage of all the semesters for which result is declared. However, the student should have obtained at least 50 percent marks or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks.

Submission of Application Form


The National Institute of Bank Management application form will be submitted through online mode. Candidates should check the filled application form before the final submission. Mistakes in the account of wrong entries will be the sole responsibility of the candidates.

The payment of NIBM application fee can be paid through online mode. Candidates can pay the application fee through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking. Ensure all mandatory fields are filled up with appropriate information before making payment.

  • Security Deposit (Refundable): Rs 11,000
  • Mess Deposit (Refundable): Rs 7,000

The fee of Term-1 shall be paid in two instalments. The first instalment of Rs. 90,000 needs to be paid within two weeks from the date of offer of admission and the balance amount of Rs. 97,500 and in addition a security deposit of Rs. 11,000 and mess deposit of Rs. 7,000 totalling to Rs. 1,15,500 needs to be paid on or before the date of registration of the first term i.e. 28 June 2017. 

The amount may be transferred by RTGS / NEFT / ECS to our Current A/c No.20002403044 with Bank of Maharashtra, NIBM Branch, Pune (IFSC Code MAHB0001124). For all electronic remittances, kindly send a confirmatory email at pgdm@nibmindia.org giving details of the remitter’s name, the UTR No., date of remittance, the name of the bank, student’s name, etc. and attach the scanned copy of the receipt.

National Institute of Bank Management Admission Result and Counselling

The selection of candidates for National Institute of Bank Management Admission will be based on the scores of CAT 2018 / ATMA (February 2018)/ CMAT (2018). The short-listed candidates will be called for Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview during April 2018 in select centres. Such candidates may have to take the additional written test if required at the later stage. NIBM may use any additional evaluation method for the shortlisted candidates if required.
