KIIT MBA (KSOM/KSRM) Admission 2018

KIIT MBA Admission to KSOM / KSRM (KIIT School of Management and KIIT School of Rural Management) are conducted on the basis of CAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA / CMAT / XAT. KIIT University also conducts its own National Level Entrance Examination (KIITEE Management) for Admissions to its MBA courses. This entrance exam is conducted for admission to both KIIT School of Management (KSOM) and KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM). So the aspiring candidates can take KIIT University MBA Admission by appearing in either of the following MBA Exams.

• KIITEE Management ( A National Level Examination conducted by KSOM)
• CAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA /CMAT/XAT

KIITEE Management exam is conducted by KSOM on behalf KIIT University. It is a computer-based test that is conducted across 15 cities in India. The candidates will be called for GD/PI on the basis of scores obtained in the examination. This is a common examination for both the MBA and MBA (Rural Management). 

About KIIT University: Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, KIIT University is an autonomous university located at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. KIIT University offers MBA course in two of its schools. The MBA Exam will be conducted in 15 towns/cities in India in a computer-based mode.

KIIT MBA Important Dates 2018

Academic Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks

• The candidate must have 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the 10th and 12th board examinations.
• The candidate also requires a valid score of any national entrance examination for MBA or PGDM (e.g., CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, including KIITEE Management, 2018, etc.)
• Those who are in the final year are also eligible to apply however, such candidates must complete their graduation before June 30, 2018.

Eligibility for NRI Candidates: Foreign/ NRI candidate will have the above eligibility for applying for the MBA programme and they are required to submit the filled-up application form along with the requisite documents. They will be considered for admission process on the basis of their valid GMAT scores (appeared in year 2016). 

KIIT University MBA  Application forms are available and the last date to apply is 20 January 2018. Interested candidates can obtain the application form in one of the following ways :

Submission of KIIT University MBA Application Form

The candidates who have filled the application form online have to submit their application  form online only, however, those who have applied offline send the application form along with the DD at the following address:

• The candidate has to mention his/her name & address on the reverse of the Demand Draft.Candidates should retain photocopies of the DD and the application form submitted for future reference.

KIITEE MBA Admit Card 2018

Candidates can download the Admit Card from 24 January 2018, on the official website. Candidates must not mutilate the Admit Card nor make any change therein. Candidates must preserve the Admit Card till the admission process is over

• In the case of non- availability of admit card on the website candidates may contact Chairperson Admissions by giving details of reference like Application No/Registration No/Name/DOB and proof of remittance of fees.

KIIT University MBA Fee Structure

The total MBA Course Fee (including mess charges) is Rs. 11,95,000 (Rupees Eleven Lakhs Ninty Five Thousand only) payable in five instalments as given below. The fee includes Tuition Fees, Hostel and Utility Charges, Development and Administration Fees and Books. 

KSRM Fee Structure for Rural Management

The total course fee is Rs.6,47,000 (Rupees Six Lakhs Forty-Seven Thousand only) payable in four instalments as follows. The fee is all-inclusive, and no other fee whatsoever will be charged

Results of KIITEE Management 2018 will be declared on 5 February 2018, and candidates will be called for GD/PI (Group Discussion & Personal Interview) on the basis of KIITEE Management merit list.

KIIT MBA Counselling for KSOM/KSRM Admission 2018

Candidates who qualify the KIITEE Management 2018 would be invited formally through a letter, to appear for the selection process for admission into the MBA Programme.

Required Documents at the time of KIIT MBA Counselling

• The list of documents that would be required to be submitted by the candidates. Any changes in the list would be communicated in due course of time.
• High School & +2/HSC Certificate and Mark sheet.
• Graduation (B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, Engineering etc.) Certificate and Mark sheet
• Caste certificate, if applicable
• Physically challenged certificate, if applicable
• Sports / Extra-curricular participation certificate, if applicable
• College Leaving Certificate
• Migration Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Medical Report from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format

KIIT MBA Admission 2018 Selection Process

Candidates will be selected for MBA Admission in KIIT University on basis of marks secured by them in CAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/CMAT/XAT/KIITEE Managment (national level examination conducted by KSOM).

The candidates who don't have CAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/CMAT/XAT score would be called for the Computer-based Online Entrance Examination KIITEE Management - 2018. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

This is a computer-based entrance examination; it will be of two and half hours duration. There will be a total of 150 multiple choice types of questions.

• Duration of Exam: 2:30 Hours
• Language of Exam: English 
• Mode of Exam: Computer Based Exam 
• No. of Question: 150 Multiple Choice Question. Details of the same are given in the following table.
• Marking Scheme: All the questions will be objective type with three marks (+3) for each correct response.
• Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. Multiple answers will be treated as incorrect and will fetch negative marks.
  • There will be no negative marking for the unattended questions. Therefore, the candidates are advised not to attempt a question if they are not sure about the answer.

KIIT University MBA Scholarship

Top 5 ranked candidates who appeared in KIITEE Management Test 2018 will be eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship will be equivalent to 50% of the tuition fees. The scholarship would also be given to

• Candidates with 80 Percentile and above score in CAT/XAT
• Candidates with 95 Percentile and above score in MAT

The final disbursement and allotment of the scholarship are at the discretion of the college authorities and their decision would be the final in this case.

There is no provision of scholarship in MBA in Rural Management programme.

KIITEE Exam will be conducted in 15 test centres across the country. City and code wise list of the same is given in the table.
