Haryana Engineering Admission 2018 for B.Tech/ B.E are done by Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) on the basis of inter-se-merit of combined merit of JEE Main 2018 conducted by the CBSE and Class 12th exam on All India Basis. The Result for Round 2 of HSTES Counselling 2018 has been declared online. B.Tech admissions in Haryana are done on the basis of JEE Main Rank 2018. To appear in the counselling, candidates have to apply separately for the counselling by paying the counselling fee. The candidates are required to scroll down for complete information on Haryana Engineering Admission. HSTES does not conduct any entrance exam for admission but only conducts online counselling for admission to B.Tech & B.Arch for admission to the following:

• All seats of Govt. and Govt. Aided Colleges in the state
• 50% seats in the Self Financed Colleges

However, candidates belonging to Kashmiri Migrant (KM) & Haryana Government School Toppers (HGST), Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) category have to apply before the due date. The detailed schedule is given in the table below.

Latest Update - HSTES Counselling 2018 Result for Round 2 declared for B.Tech programme.

In the latest Notification byHSTES, All the Private and Self Financing Technical Institutes of Haryana are allowed to fill up 50% of Sanctioned intake which was 25% earlier (including 25% Management Quota). Check the Notification below.

The Haryana State Technical Education Society released information bulletin for B.tech Lateral Entry Admissions on 27 April 2018. Applications started on 30 April 2018. 

• Notification regarding the confirmation of seats for admission to Lateral Entry to B.E/ B.Tech for the current session that is 2018-19. The notification for the same is attached below which carries the complete information.

Following are the important dates related to BE/BTech course to keep in mind regarding Haryana Engineering Admission 2018 -

Following are the important dates related to BE/BTech Lateral entry to keep in mind regarding Haryana Engineering Admission 2018:

• B.Arch Counselling: There are two counselling for admission to B.Arch. Online Registration for first B.Arch Counselling is likely to begin from 4 June 2018.
• One seat is reserved in each course/discipline in every institute for admission of toppers of science stream (having minimum 2nd division) of Govt. High Schools of Haryana.

Haryana Engineering and B.Arch Counselling 

The eligibility criteria for the admission in Haryana Engineering for the different programmes are given below. The candidates willing to pursue the course of their choice can find the eligibility criteria for the course they are willing to get admission in.

For B.E/ B.Tech programme:

• In order take admission in B.Tech candidates Should be a pass in 10+2 examination from recognised Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subject:
  • Chemistry  
  • Bio-Technology  
  • Computer Science  
  • Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Multi Media and Web Technology

For B.E/ B.Tech Biotechnology programme: 

• In order to take admission in B.Tech Biotechnology the candidates should be a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects:
• Chemistry
• Bio-Tech.
• Computer Science
• In the above subjects taken together for B.E/B.Tech and B.E/B.Tech the candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidates belonging to SC Category). 
• If there is any change in minimum academic qualification in terms of percentage in aggregate for the private institute for the session 2018-19, it will be incorporated at the time of counselling.
• For Kashmiri Migrants relaxation in cut-off percentage up to 10% subject to the minimum eligibility requirement in B.E./ B.Tech. Kashmiri Migrants are required to fill the Online Application form on the website

For B. Arch programme:

• For admission in B.Arch programme in Haryana Engineering, the candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board/University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks.

OR

• Candidates with 10 +3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/ State Governments with 50% in aggregate.

OR

• International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of Examination.
• The Merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of 10+2 and NATA score in the ratio 50:50. In order to pass NATA Test, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 40% marks.

The admission in B.Tech and B.Arch course will be done on the basis of JEE Main and NATA respectively. However, the candidates also need to fill the application form which will be released by the Haryana State Technical Education Society.

Haryana Engineering Application Form

The candidates need to apply for the admission in the various programmes offered by the Haryana State Technical Education Society. The details to fill the application form or the steps involved in filling the application form is given below.

• Registration: The candidates first need to register themselves on the official website of Haryana State Technical Education Society by following the link which will be available soon on this page.
• Fill the application form: After registering themselves, the candidates need to fill the further application form by mentioning the correct details.
• Upload the Photograph and Signature: Candidates must upload their recent passport size coloured photograph (JPG File Maximum of 30 KB size) and signature (JPG File Maximum of 20 KB size) in the application form.
• Payment of Application Fee: The candidates need to fill the online Application form completely pay application fee of Rs 200 in the following two way:

• E-Challan: The candidates have to take a printout of e-challan and shall deposit on the next day in any branch of following designated banks through Punjab National Bank and Axis Bank.
• Online Gateway: The payment can also be made online through credit/debit card or through Netbanking. 

Documents to be enclosed with the printout of the Haryana Engineering application form: 

• Haryana Resident Certificate (in case candidate has not passed/ appeared in the qualifying examination from Haryana)
• Proof of Application fee deposition
• Income Certificate in Case of TFW Category: Certificate of the parents from all sources from the Organization where parents are working or Affidavit of Income on stamp paper from Notary (Annual income of Parents/ Guardians should be less than Rs. 6.00 lakh from all sources.
• Haryana Resident Certificate (in case candidate has not passed/ appeared in the qualifying examination from Haryana)
• Proof of Application fee deposition.

Additional documents for B.Arch Students:

• Attested copies of the qualifying exam 
• NATA score Card
• Attested copy of Matriculation Certificate

Submission of Application Form

The candidates are advised to check the details of the application form before the final submission because once the application gets submitted then the candidates will not be able to do any changes. The students have to send a printout of application form along with attested copy of relevant documents to the given address:

Application fee: The candidates have to pay application fee of Rs.200 and the fee is same for all the three categories that are KM, TFW & HGST.

Counselling Fee: Rs. 500

The process of Depositing the Counselling Fee

For depositing of counselling fees of Rs.500 candidate must visit website www.techadmissionshry.gov.in and click on “Payment Registration” generate their Roll no. and deposit the counselling fees by two ways:

• e-challan: Candidates must generate E-challan for cash payment at any computerised branches of Axis or PNB banks
• Online payment gateway: The counselling fee can also be paid through Credit/Debit Card or Netbanking

It is to be noted that remember that the candidate must have paid their counselling fee before proceeding for online counselling, else their allotted seat can be cancelled at any stage and candidate would not have any claim on such allotted seat.

BE and B.Tech Admissions will be based on inter-se -merit list of Class 12 and JEE Main score.

 HSTES Cut Off 2017 (Previous Year)

Candidates can go through the previous year cut off 2017. The below-mentioned table includes the detailed information about the Closing and Opening rank according to the branch. Candidates can expect the cut off for 2018.

HSTES Counselling 2018

• HSTES will conduct two counselling for B.E, B.Tech and B. Arch. These Counselling will be done for all the seats of Govt. / Govt. Aided Institutes and 75% seats of Self Financing Institutes. 
• The candidates who are applying for more than one option i.e. JEE-MAIN-2018, Haryana Govt. School Toppers (HGST), Kashmiri Migrants (KM) Quota and Tuition Fee Waiver Category quota are required to apply separately and deposit separate counselling fee for each category
• The first counselling will be done for all categories namely AIC, Haryana Open General Category (HOGC), KM, TFW, SC, BC-A, BC-B, EBP PH, ESM (with all priorities) and FF of all categories with 25% Horizontal Female reservation.
• The second counselling will be done for the AIC, HOGC, KM, TFW, SC, BC, EBP, PH, ESM categories and FF with 25% Horizontal Female reservation. To participate in the second counselling, the candidates will have to again fill (refill) the choices in the order of priority on the counselling. However, no counselling fee has to be paid at this stage.

HSTES Counselling Schedule 2018

B.E./B.Tech (Bio-Technology) admission during centralised counselling shall be made on the basis of the inter-se-merit of JEE Main 2018. Remaining unfilled/ vacant seats of centralised counselling shall be filled by the institute, firstly by the candidates who have studied the only Biology and thus could not take JEE Main exam. Seats of B.Tech (Bio-Technology) in the following Institutes will not be filled through JEE Main:

• Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak - 33% Seats
• Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra - 50% Seats

Inter-se merit for such candidates shall be calculated on the basis of marks of Physics, Biology, Chemistry/ Bio-Tech/ Computer Science.

Haryana Colleges taking admission on basis of ICAR
