World University of Design Admission 2018 will be done on the basis of the aptitude test which will be conducted on 8 April 2018. The candidates can apply to appear in the entrance examination only through online mode. The admission schedule for the World University of Design has been announced and available on this page below.  The World University of Design conducts the entrance examination every year for admission. The following World University of Design Admission Aptitude Test will be conducted on 8 April 2018:

• DAT (Design Aptitude Test) - For admission to Design, Fashion & Communication Courses.
• AAT (Art Aptitude Test) - For Admission to Art Courses.
• GAT (General Aptitude Test) - For Admission to Humanities & Management Courses.

Candidate must note that in lieu of the above Aptitude Test, valid scores of NIFT, NEED and UCEED Exams will be considered by the World University of Design. 

World University of Design Admissions 2018 Dates

World University of Design which was established in the year 1998 is a part of RIMT Group of Institutions promoted by Shri Om Parkash Bansal Educational & Social Welfare Trust of Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. 

Eligibility for Undergraduate programme:

• Candidates should have completed their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc. (in relevant stream) are eligible to apply for undergraduate degree programmes.
• The upper age limit for under graduation is 20 years, relaxable upto 3 years on proving genuine evidence.
• In addition to marks in the qualifying examinations, the admission will be based on performance in Aptitudes Test followed by a personal interview.

Eligibility for Postgraduate Programmes:

• Candidates who have completed 3 or 4-year full-time degree or equivalent, are eligible to apply.

It is to be noted that, apart from the educational qualifications the valid scores of NIFT, NEED and UCEED exams can be considered in lieu of Aptitude Test.

The last date for submission of application form is 2 April 2018. While filling the application form, the candidate will have to give the following information. 

• Choosing Campus: The candidates must choose their campus where they want to study their programme. They have the option to choose 4 campuses according to the order of preference.
• Personal Details: Candidates must mention their personal details such as Name, mobile number, Email id, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, religion, Parents name, address etc.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must mention their educational qualifications and the lateral entry candidates must write about their Diploma Details.
• Hostel Accommodation: Candidates must also mention whether they want the hostel facility or not.
• Payment Details: The candidates must mention their mode of payment in the application form. The payment can be made by the following modes:
  • By cash: The candidates can make their payment by cash
  • By Cheque: The Demand Draft should be made in favor of RIMT INSTITUTE OF ENGG AND TECH (KUNDLI)
  • Online Payment through Credit Card/Debit Card

In a case of online application, the candidates must upload the following documents:

• Mark sheet of Class 10 and 12
• Mark sheet of Graduation/Post Graduation/Diploma (if applicable)
• Scorecard of entrance/aptitude test (if applicable)

World University of Design Admit Card 2018

After completing the application form, the candidates will receive their examination Admit Card through Email which they have provided during filling the application form. The candidates will not be sent the admit card separately on their address via post. 

To fill the application form online, the candidates need to pay Rs 1000 as the application fee. World University of design did not release the fee structure for the program but the candidates should know last year's fee structure given below.

World University of Design Fee Structure - UG Programs

The candidates will be selected for admission to their desired program on the basis of their respective aptitude test that is DAT, AAT and GAT. The marks of the aptitude test will be announced on the official website after the aptitude test is over. The valid scores of NIFT, NEED and UCEED exams can be considered in lieu of Aptitude Test.

Counseling

Successful candidates who have cleared the aptitude test will be called for the counselling session where they will be evaluated on the basis of the stream of creative education selected. The candidates can also clear their doubts during the counselling session.

Campus Interview

The candidates need to appear in a personal interview conducted by an interview panel. The interview panel will ask questions related to the field of study selected by the student. Creative evidence such as portfolio, drawings, photographs, crafts etc. in hard copy may also be showcased.

Offer of Admission/ Admission

Successful candidates will be made an offer of admission to join WSD. The offer will be sent via an email, followed by an official letter of admission via courier. Details regarding payment of fees at the time of admission, allotment of hostel and date, time and venue for commencement of the academic session will be included in the admission letter.

The offer of admission will be valid only for the particular programme opted by the candidate in the given academic session. However request for change of programme may be considered after the first semester, subject to availability of seats.

In acceptance of the offer of admission to WSD, the candidates will have to appear in person at the campus along with original documents (educational qualification and relevant caste or disability certificate in the prescribed format as applicable) for verification, and pay the required fees.

The World University of Design Aptitude Tests for Admission aims to test a candidate’s general aptitude for the program applied for, general IQ, logical reasoning, vocabulary as well as observation power.

World University of Design Aptitude Test will be of 100 marks, containing both the objective and subjective type questions.
