 Apart from Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA), BHU offers admission to following undergraduate courses: 

• B. A. (Hons.) Arts

Age

• The candidates applying for the admission should be 22 years or less as on 1st July 2018.
• The SC/ST and PC categories candidates will be provided relaxation  of 5 years with the upper age limit 
• The OBC category candidates will be provided relaxation of 3 years with the upper age limit.

Academic Qualification

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination or a Graduate/Postgraduate Degree are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who have studied any one of the following subjects Vocal Music/Instrumental Music/Dance (Kathak/Bharatnatyam).
• Candidate should have also passed the subjects mentioned above.

Candidate can also have passed the following exams:

• Candidates who have passed 3 Year Diploma in Vocal Music/ Instrumental Music/ Dance (Kathak/ Bharatnatyam) Examination of BHU or equivalent Examination.

• The candidates must need to secure a minimum of 50% marks in Music Practical/ Dance Practical in each case mentioned above to get admission. However, the SC/ST candidates have required only pass marks.

• SC/ST candidates: The SC/ST candidates do not require a minimum aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examination as they only need to pass the qualifying exam.
• OBC and PC candidates: For OBC and PC candidates, there will be a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

The candidates can apply for BHU UET 2018 ONLY online. There is NO offline Process of filling the BHU UET 2018 Application Form. 

Online Mode: Candidates may apply through online mode by visiting the official website. The candidates have to fill the BHU UET 2018 Application Form as per the procedure provided

There is no Offline mode of filling the BHU UET 2018 Application Form, so the application form and the Information Bulletin will not be sold at the University Counters or anywhere else.

The BHU BPA Admission will be done on the basis of BHU UET. BHU UET Admit Card 2018 has been released on 8 April 2018. The candidates can download the admit card from the official website of Banaras Hindu University one week before the exam. The students have to log in to the BHU Applicant's Login and download the BHU Admit card 2018. BHU UET B.Mus  Application Fee amount is different for all the categories of candidates who will fill the common BHU UET Online Application Form. The candidates are required to pay the Application fee given below through online mode that is credit Card/Debit Card or Net banking and also in cash through any of the branches of HDFC Bank. The additional course fee is for opting more than one course in the BHU UET Application Form is given below.

In case the candidate makes application for more than one course under UET 2018, the application processing Fee/Entrance Test Fee payable by them for each subsequent application will be charged as follows:

BHU UET Result for BHU B.Mus is expected to be declared for all the courses on the first/second week of June 2018. The merit list for the same will be prepared according to the result. The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of merit list prepared. 

• BHU Score & Marks: The marks obtained by the candidate, the order of overall merit and the all the relevant information related to the BHU score and marks will be sent to the candidate by mail as well as SMS. The candidate can also check the BHU official answer keys and calculate their marks.

• No Revaluation of BHU Result: Banaras Hindu University will not entertain any request for Re-evaluation or Investigation of the answer sheets at any conditions. Further, no query about the same will be considered. BHU UET Results would be available at the BHU official website.
• The Merit shall be based on the sum of two components viz.; marks obtained in Theory and practical tests.

Admissions will be solely done on the basis of merit in the UET, subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for. BHU Counselling 2018 for B.Mus course  

BHU, Banaras Hindu University will announce the BHU Counselling schedule for various courses for the year 2018-19. Candidates will be able to check the course wise BHU Counselling 2018 schedule for BHU Admission 2018-19. The Counselling would be held for the following seats.

• Regular seat in the Main Campus
• Paid Seat in the BHU Main Campus
• Seats in the Affiliated Colleges

First of all the regular seats in the main campus will be filled and once they are full then the counselling for the paid seats in the BHU Main Campus is conducted and lastly the seats in the affiliated colleges are filled.

There shall be ONE THEORY PAPER and TWO PRACTICAL exam.

• The practical exams for the shortlisted candidates will be held at BHU Campus, Varanasi only.
• The appearance of the candidates in both theory and practical examinations is mandatory to be eligible for consideration for admission.
• The questions paper will be prepared on the basis of three years Diploma Course of Vocal, Instrumental & Dance of BHU or equivalent Examination.

Theory Paper

• Total Questions: 100 MCQ’s
• Duration: 2 hours
• Marks: 300 marks
• Questions will be based on Vocal, Instrumental-(Sitar, Flute and Violin), Instrumental-(Tabla), Dance-Kathak and Dance-Bharatnatyam

One Practical Paper

• Duration: 45 minutes, Marks: 600 marks.
• Candidates will have to give a performance as well as appear in viva exam.
