VSAT 2018-19 - Vignan University Engineering Entrance Exam

VSAT 2018-19 is Vignan University Engineering Entrance Exam. It is also known as Vignan's Scholastic Aptitude Test. The test is conducted by Vignan University, Andhra Pradesh on All India basis for admission to B.Tech/ B.Pharm programmes. Apart from VSAT Test, the Vignan University also offers admission to B.Tech programme on the basis of EAMCET/ JEE Main. Vignan's Scholastic Aptitude Test (VSAT) is a computer based online test conducted on an All India basis. The candidates who want to get admission into the Vignan University for B.Tech/ B.Pharm course through VSAT are required to fill the application form.

Age: Candidates born on or after 1 July 1997 are eligible to appear for the admission test.

Academic Qualification

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination with minimum 60% marks are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who are appearing in Class 12 Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2018 or result awaited candidates can also apply.
• Candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English/ Aptitude in the VSAT 2018 are eligible for all the B.Tech programmes.
• Candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English/Aptitude in the VSAT 2018 are eligible only for B.Tech. Biotechnology, Bioinformatics & Food Technology Programmes.

The application process for the VSAT has started and the candidates willing to appear in the VSAT can apply online. The Vignan University invites the admission in B.Tech course through the VSAT entrance test as well as through EAMCET/ JEE Main. The Vignan University facilitates the online as well as the offline application.

VSAT Admit Card 2018

VSAT Admit Card will be available on the official website only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their duly filled application forms before the due date. The admit card will not be dispatched through the post to the candidates, so no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Candidates are advised to check the details like name of the students, exam centre, exam dates etc. on the printed admit card. Admit Card is an important document to be carried at the exam centre.

Application Fee: The candidates applying for the admission in B.Tech course through VSAT need to fill the application fee of Rs.1200. The payment of the application fee can be made by two modes either online or Demand Draft.

Vignan University Fee Structure 2018-19 for BTech programme

VSAT Result 2018 is expected to be declared in the month of May 2018. The candidates who appeared in the exam would be able to check the result. VSAT qualified students can download their scorecards after the declaration of result.

VSAT 2018 Selection Process

• Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Vignan's Scholastic Aptitude Test (VSAT) 2018 conducted by Vignan's University. 
• The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the rank obtained in VSAT/ EAMCET/ JEE, provided they get minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination as per the eligibility criteria.
• Admissions will be purely on merit and by following the reservation policy applicable to Vigna’s University.
• Thereafter the shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling which will take place at the Vignan’s University. The counselling would be held at Vignan's University, Vadlamudi, Guntur - 522213 (AP)

• Language of exam: English
• Sections: 4 sections
• Type of questions: There will be objective type question with multiple choice options to answer.
• Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries one mark.
• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking.

VSAT 2018 -19 Exam Pattern

VSAT 2018 Syllabus

• The VSAT qualified candidates will be provided with the preference of allotment of scholarship. The scholarship seats are allotted on the basis of merit, availability of seats and on first come first serve basis.
• 25% of the total intake capacity seats in each department is reserved for the scholarship.
• The scholarship is applicable for four years of study subject to maintaining a minimum of 70% of marks in the preceding year without any backlogs.
• The rank in JEE (Mains/ Advanced) should be All India Marks/ Ranks in their respective category
