DAIICT admission 2018 is a technological university located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat that offers various undergraduate & postgraduate courses. The 4-year Undergraduate Programs and Number of Intakes at DAIICT 2018, Dhirubhai Engineering College, offers admission in two specializations that are

• B.Tech ( Information and Communication Technology) - 264 Seats
• B.Tech ( Honours in ICT with minor in Computational Science) – 66 Seats 

50% of seats in DAIICT are reserved for candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat and seats will be filled through ACPC Counselling.

DAIICT B.Tech Admission 2018 Dates

Dhirubhai Ambani B.Tech Admission 2018 

• DAIICT was established in August 2001 under an Act of Gujarat State Legislature and is recognised by the University Grants Commission and Association of Indian Universities.
• DAIICT is named after the Gujarati entrepreneur and Reliance group founder Dhirubhai Ambani, the university is run by the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation and is promoted by the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.

• The Institute follows distinguished admission criteria for every domain and admission to undergraduate courses is offered based on the All India Rank of JEE Main Examination. DAIICT does not conduct its individual exam for B.Tech admission 2018.
  
• Candidates interested in will have to fill the B.Tech admission form (details given below) and have to appear in the counselling conducted by the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology

For Admission to B. Tech programs: Candidates should have passed class 12 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and any one of Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Botany.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2018 are also eligible to apply for consideration of provisional admission

Age Criteria:  Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1 October 1993 are eligible.

Other qualifying exams offering Eligibility to students for applying to DAIICT courses:

• The final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy. 
• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. 
• Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• H.S.C. vocational examination.
• A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration. 
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. 
• High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

The candidates who are appearing for JEE Main 2018 can only apply for admissions at DA-IICT. Candidates for seeking admissions to B.Tech Programs at DA-IICT have to submit an online application form available on the official website. The last date to submit DAIICT Application form is in the last week of July 2018.

Things to be kept ready before filling the application form:

• Photograph: Candidate should keep the Soft copy of passport size photograph of size not more than 50 kb.
• Credit / Debit Card / Net Banking / PayTm Wallet details.
• Postal address and contact detais (telephone / mobile numbers etc).

Submission of Application form

After submitting the Application Form Online, candidates are NOT required to send the hardcopy. However, the candidates are advised to keep a printout of the application form for the future reference.

DAIICT B.tech Admission Procedure for Foreign Nationals

A limited number of seats will be offered through a separate channel called ‘Direct Admission of Foreign and NRI Students’ (DAFS) to Non-Resident Indians, Foreign Nationals, and Persons of Indian Origin. (details are given towards the end of the page)

DAIICT 2018 Application Fees: Candidates have to pay a  non-refundable Application fee of Rs. 1200. Payment of Application Fee can only be made online.

DAIICT BTech Fee Structure

Fees at DAIICT are charged semester wise with the registration at the beginning of the semester. However, the fee structure is subject to revision.

Note: Tuition Fee and Caution Fee i.e. Rs. 96,000 (tuition fee + caution deposit) is required to be submitted at the time of DAIICT counselling.

DAIICT 2018 Scholarships

Merit Scholarship: A few students admitted to the programs would be awarded merit scholarship equivalent to full tuition fees. Also, five merit-cum-means scholarship would be offered to the students with highest Ranks subject to a means test.

R-Com UG Scholarships: Ten merit-cum-means scholarships are given under this scheme from 2014 batch onwards, and the awards will be presented to 2018 batch as well. 

Mukhya Mantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojna: The admitted B.Tech students are encouraged to apply for the ‘Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme’ of the Government of Gujarat. The Scheme provides financial support to bright and needy students.

Short-listed candidates will be offered admission (confirmed/ waitlisted) in order of their merit in JEE Main 2018.

DAIICT B.Tech Admission of ACPC Selected Candidates (Gujarat Category)

Those candidates who have got confirmed admission and not participating further in the admission process at ACPC only required to come for the Registration. Apart from the documents issued by the ACPC, following certificates (original and a set of photocopy) need to be bought at the time of Registration along with the forms available at DA-IICT web site:

• Admit Card of GUJCET 2018.
• Rank Card of GUJCET 2018.
• Admit Card of JEE (Main) 2018 (If Available).
• Rank Card of JEE (Main) 2018 (If Available).
• Class 10 Mark sheet and Certificate to verify and confirm your date of birth.
• Class 12/ Higher Secondary Marksheet and Certificate.
• Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable).
• Two Passport size photographs.
• Completed Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner (in the prescribed form (As stated above)
• Anti-Ragging Affidavits on plain paper by candidates and their Parent

ACPC Counselling for B.Tech 2018

Reservation for admissions at DA-IICT: 50% of seats are reserved for students who have pursued their primary education in schools of Gujarat and these seats are filled via the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat.

All India Categories: Remaining 50% seats will be filled directly by DA-IICT.

DAIICT B.Tech Admission for Foreign Nationals

Admission of Foreign and NRI Students’ (DAFS) to Non-Resident Indians, Foreign Nationals, and Persons of Indian Origin will be offered through a separate channel called ‘Direct Admission of Foreign and NRI Students’ (DAFS).
Direct Admission of Foreign and NRI Students (DAFS) 

Eligibility Criteria to apply for Direct Admission of Foreign and NRI Students (DAFS) category: NRI status of the candidate applying under this category should be valid until the first week of August 2018. The following categories of people will be considered as NonResident Indians;

• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders
• Passport of an applicant indicating his status as 'Non-Resident Indian'.
• Either of the parent of the applicant - residing abroad and submits documentary proof that he/she is a Non-Resident Indian (e.g. NRI bank account in India). 
• Candidate will have to submit Certificates of Non-Resident Indian issued by the Indian Embassy/Indian Consulate of the Country where the candidate is residing.

The general eligibility remains same, however, the candidate must have passed 12th standard or equivalent from any system recognized by the Association of Indian University (AIU), New Delhi. 

Selection Process of NRI candidates
The admissions will be based on candidate's admission performance in the 12th standard or equivalent examination and  SAT subject test/ AP tests at A-levels in Physics, Mathematics/ JEE Main/ equivalent standard examination of United Kingdom (UK). The candidate will have to e-mail the scanned copy of following documents directly to international_students@daiict.ac.in.

• SAT / AP / JEE Mains Test scores.
• 12th standard or equivalent scores.
• Residency Status
