PM Scholarship Renewal: The Department of Ex-Servicemen Government of India has invited applications from the PM Scholarship Scheme awardees to renew their scholarship for the next academic session. PM Scholarship is given to students to complete their higher education studies and the scholarship has to be renewed every year for the continuation of the PM Scholarship.
PM Scholarship Program was launched by Govt of India Ministry of Defence Kendriya Sainik Board with the aim to provide financial assistance to the wards of widows and Ex-servicemen of Armed Forces so that they can pursue higher education.
PM Scholarship Renewal is required for students at the end of each academic session to ensure that the scholarship amount for the next academic session is duly disbursed.
Conditions for the Renewal of PM Scholarship?
- The candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks uninterrupted for the continuation of scholarship in every year
- The Scholarship is offered a maximum period of 5 years as prescribed for that course of study.
- A person selected for a scholarship for one course would not be entitled to a scholarship for another course.
- If in case the marks in the qualifying examination are expressed in grades, then an equivalent percentage (100 point scale) duly certified by the concerned College / Institute / University must be furnished.
How to apply for PM Scholarship Renewal?
The student should submit the Payment cum Renewal Form which is also known as PM Scholarship Renewal Form along with Bonafide Certificate (as per specimen attached) and mark sheets duly signed by the Principal / Dean / Registrar of the Institution / College and should be sent directly to Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB), R K Puram, New Delhi for the renewal.
