NTSE Karnataka 2018 will be conducted by Department of State Educational Research and Training (DSERT). DSERT will conduct NTSE Karnataka stage 1 on 4 November 2018, for candidates studying in Class 10 for scholarship award by NCERT, Government of India.  NTSE Karnataka application form 2018 will be available on 16 August, which can be obtained from Block Educational Office (BEO). Candidates need to fill and submit Karnataka NTSE 2018 application form to the liaison officers on or before the last date.

NTSE Karnataka 2018 exam will have two test – Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholarship Ability Test (SAT). A total of 200 questions will be asked in the scholarship test and only 240 minutes will be given to complete the test. Karnataka NTSE 2018 scholarship exam will be of 200 marks. Students must secure the minimum qualifying percentage in NTSE exam Karnataka. General category students must secure 40% in both papers, while it is 32% for SC/ST aspirants. NTSE Karnataka Eligibility Criteria 2018

Before applying for NTSE Karnataka 2018, candidates must check the eligibility criteria set by the authority. NTSE Karnataka eligibility criteria which must be fulfilled by aspirants are:

  • Candidates should be in Class 10 from a recognized school and board
  • Applicants must be a domicile of Karnataka
  • Students should be appearing in Class 10 for the first time
  • Aspirants pursuing studies from NIOS can also apply for Karnataka NTSE 2018. However, they should not be employed and should be below 18 years as on 1 July of that year
  • Qualifying marks in both papers should be 32% for SC/ST and PwD aspirants, while for General candidates it is 40%

NTSE Karnataka 2018 Application Form

The application form of NTSE 2018 Karnataka can be obtained from Block Educational Officers (BEO) from 16 August onwards. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill NTSE Karnataka 2018 application form. Applicants must fill the NTSE Application form carefully after reading the instructions.

Along with the NTSE Karnataka application form 2018, students must pay the prescribed application fee at the BEO in the available mode. The filled in Karnataka NTSE application form 2018 must be submitted to the liaison officers. The completed application form must be signed by the Principal of the school.

NTSE Karnataka 2018 Admit Card

The admit card of Karnataka NTSE 2018 will be auto-generated. The successfully registered aspirants of stage 1 can download the Karnataka NTSE 2018 admit card. Such candidates will be informed separately about the process of downloading admit cards. Also, students/parents/school heads are requested to collect the NTSE 2018 Karnataka exam admit card from respective Block Education Office. Karnataka NTSE admit card is an important document which must be carried at the exam, otherwise aspirants will not be allowed to take the test.

NTSE Karnataka 2018 Exam Centres

The exam centres of Karnataka NTSE 2018 are the venue at which the exam will be held. While filling the application form, aspirants have to enter three preferences of Karnataka NTSE 2018 exam centres. The selection of exam centres will be done on the basis of first come first serve. The list of Karnataka NTSE exam centres will be provided once it will be released.

NTSE Karnataka 2018 Answer Key

Aspirants who appeared in stage 1 can download the answer key of Karnataka NTSE 2018. The authority Department of State Educational Research and Training will release NTSE Karnataka 2018 answer key in PDF format. Aspirants who took the test can match their marked answers with the solutions provided in NTSE Karnataka Answer Key. With the help of answer key, students can calculate the approximate marks to be secured in the test.

NTSE Karnataka 2018 Result

The authority will release the result of Karnataka NTSE 2018 in online mode in the month of January/February 2018. DSERT will publish NTSE Karnataka Result 2018 in the form of merit list. Only aspirants who will secure the minimum qualifying marks will be included in Karnataka NTSE result/merit list. After the result is announced, the examination process is over. NTSE Karnataka 2018 Cut off

The cut off of NTSE Karnataka 2018 are the minimum qualifying marks which must be secured by aspirants to pass the test. The competent authority has set the minimum percentage to be secured in NTSE Karnataka 2018 stage 1 test. Students must secure the set cut off in both the test. NTSE 2018 Exam Stage 2

As mentioned earlier, candidates who will qualify in NTSE Karnataka 2018 by securing the minimum qualifying percentage, will be eligible to appear for NTSE Stage 2 Exam. The exam will be conducted by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). NTSE stage 2 exam will also contain two sections – MAT and SAT with similar exam pattern. The qualified candidates will not have to fill the application form to appear in NTSE stage 2 exam. Every year, lakhs of candidates appear in the exam and around 1,000 students are awarded NTSE scholarships.
