Aakash offers classroom coaching to students of Class 9 and 10 for building a strong foundation for understanding concepts. The coaching taken at this stage would help the student not only in acing the classroom tests at their school but also for NTSE, KVPY and other olympiads that are held every year. The coaching is for Maths and Science and along with that topics would be covered for NTSE and Olympiads.

The structure of the coaching is such that it focuses on the following:

  • Concept Clarity
  • Olympiad Preparation
  • Foundation for NEET/JEE 

The Class 9 Students are prepared for the Olympiads and the Classroom Coaching.

Class 10 students are prepared for Olympiads, Classroom Coaching and NTSE.

What is ACST?

ACST is Aakash Admission Cum Scholarship Test. The students can appear in this test on the prescribed dates and get a scholarship for the classroom coaching program.ACST is conducted on various dates over a period of 2-3 months and the student can appear in the test maximum two times. The student is expected to appear in the exam only when they are fully prepared so that they do not miss the opportunity to win the scholarship. The students would be asked questions about Mathematics and Science.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus for Class 9 Students


All the candidates who are in class 8 and moving to class 9 are eligible to apply for the same.  The questions will be based on class 8 syllabus. There is no negative marking. The syllabus for the ACST Exam can be taken from the nearest Aakash Centre.

Aakash ACST 2018 has two courses based on the duration.  Students who are studying in class 8 and moving to class 9 can opt 1 or 2 years classroom coaching. Students who are studying in class 9 and moving to class 10 are only eligible for the 1-year course. Each student is allowed to appear maximum two times in ACST exam.

1st Year course

The students can either opt for the weekday or the weekend Class

Prepare for NSTE, Olympiads with Aakash ACST 2018 - What is NTSE?


NTSE is National Talent Search Examination generally conducted for Class 10 students. It is conducted in 2 stages. Stage 1 is conducted by the state/UT government and stage 2 by NCERT. The students who qualify stage 1 are shortlisted for stage 2. The students who qualify stage 2 are eligible for the scholarship and get the scholarship till PhD studies.

Lakhs of students appear for the NTSE scholarship and only 1000 students are awarded the NTSE scholarship. 

The Regular coaching for Foundation Course is for Science and Maths. NTSE Syllabus also includes Social Science, English. So the topics which are needed for NTSE are covered in the classroom coaching by Aakash.This is an added advantage for the students who opt for the classroom coaching by Aakash.

The test series that are conducted will have NTSE level questions, doubt clearing session and also AIATS Junior which gives the student a rank at the All India Level and thus the students can see their level of preparation.

 AIATS - Junior


Aakash ACST has several facilities to their students to crack the NTSE and Olympiads; in addition, students are provided with All India Aakash Test Series (AIATS-Junior) for creating the solid foundation for engineering and medical entrance exams. Based on AIATS -Junior, all India ranks are provided to students which help them to check their level of preparation.
