JK Scholarship notification has been released by AICTE for the academic year 2018 -19. The latest news on the JK Scholarship is that PMSSS 3rd round of Provisional Seat Allotment result has been declared on 18 July 2018. Earlier, PMSSS Provisional Result for the 2nd round of Seat Allotment was released on 9 July 2018. JK Scholarship is one of the prominent scholarships given to the students of Jammu and Kashmir. This is also known as AICTE JK Scholarship. Lakhs of students apply for this AICTE JK PMSS every year. No exam is conducted for the scholarship and is given to the students who have completed class 12th from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This is a merit-based scholarship. • PMSSS Provisional Seat Allotment Result for round 2 has been released on 9 July 2018 and is available in pdf form. The candidates can follow the link below to check PMSSS Provisional Seat Allotment Result for round 2.

• PMSSS Mock Allotment 2 list has been released on 6 July 2018. The candidates can check the same by following the link below.

• The candidates who are allotted colleges under AICTE PMSSS needed to report their respective colleges by 25 July 2018. The candidates need to upload the Joining details on PMSSS portal by 30 July 2018.
• AICTE PMSSS Final Merit list was released on 18 June 2018.
• PMSSS Provisional list of 1 round of seat allotment has released. The candidates can check the PMSSS Provisional List of 1 round of seat allotment through the link below.

• The last date for Re-verification under provisional merit list has been extended to 15 June 2018 at the facilitated centre.
• 22 May 2018:  The last date has been extended for PMSS scholarship for HSC students and now they can apply until 25 May
• The online registration for the academic session 2018-19 for 10+2 students has started from 10 April 2018.
• However, the registration for the Lateral Entry Admission (2nd year) against the vacant seats started from 17 April 2018.

• The last date for JK scholarship has been extended to 21 May and 25 May respectively for 10+2 and Diploma students.

AICTE JK Scholarship Dates 2018

What is AICTE JK Scholarship?

• AICTE JK Scholarship is an initiative of PMSSS (Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme) which is for the students of Jammu and Kashmir.
• It is an endeavour to promote higher education among the students of Jammu and Kashmir. This scholarship for JK Students is provided to cover the tuition fee expenses, hostel fee, the cost of books and other miscellaneous charges.
• This JK scholarship is applicable to students who are willing to study in colleges outside Jammu and Kashmir.
• AICTE JK scholarship is offered only to the students enrolled in Undergraduate courses in Medical, Engineering, and General Degree Courses.

Rewards and Benefits of JK Scholarship

Total 5000 students will get the benefit of JK Scholarship every year.  Last year Rs 75 crores worth scholarships were available to J&K students under PMSSS. The candidates selected for the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme for students from Jammu and Kashmir State will get the following benefits. The rewards are divided into the different categories given below.

• For General Degree Courses: Rs.30,000 per annum.
• For Engineering Courses: Rs.1.25 lakhs per annum.
• For Medical Studies (Including BDS): Rs. 3 lakhs per annum.

• AICTE has released the notification regarding the JK Scholarship for the year 2018
• The registration for 10+2 students has started from 10 April 2018
• The registration for admission in Lateral Entry against the vacant seats started from 17 April 2018.
• The 10+2 students can apply for JK Scholarship until 9 May 2018 whereas the Diploma Passed out students can fill the registration form until 16 May 2018
