AICTE-ECI-ISTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards 2018 - The competition is held jointly by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt of India & Engineering Council of India (ECI) and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).  AICTE-ECI-ISTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards 2018 competition will be held for the students of AICTE approved Degree & Diploma level technical institutions. The objective of the competition is to recognize and honour innovative work of the students displaying exceptional skills in different Engineering streams. The students willing to participate in the competition can apply online. The last date of AICTE ECI ISTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards 2018 Application is 10 August 2018. The contestants need to provide an innovative solution to the problem: “Empowerment of Villages through Technologies”. The participants will be chosen by the AICTE and ECI Committee on judging the solution they have presented on the given topic/theme. AICTE-ECI-ISTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards 2018 Theme

The theme of the AICTE-ECI-ISTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards 2018 is “Empowerment of Villages through Technologies”. There are 8 sub-themes that have been shortlisted for the holistic development of villages under the above theme. The sub-themes are given below: 

1. Water & Irrigation

2. Sanitation & Solid Liquid Waste Management

3. Rural Infrastructure

4. Tourism

5. Agriculture & Food

6. Education, Skill Initiative & Startups

7. Rural Craft & Livelihood

8. Any other Rural Appropriate Technologies

AICTE-ECI-ISTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards 2018 Dates

• All winners will receive awards and a Scroll of honour on 17 September 2018 (Sunday) on Vishwakarma Jayanti at AICTE HQrs, New Delhi.
• The award winners and the recipients of citations will be recognized across all ECI and Associate Organization Publications & Websites.
• All participants will be given participation certificates.

• A maximum of five teams per college/ institute can participate
• The Diploma and Degree students of the same institute can comprise a team
• A team can be consist of the four students and one faculty as a mentor.
• Applicants must attach “Detail Project Summary” along with the “No Objection Certificate” from the Principal of their Institute on Institute Letter Head. 

Note: Team application will not be considered if it is not forwarded by the Head of the Institution.

The decision of selecting the winners among all the entries will be completely the call of the judging committee. So no objection in this regard will be concerned.

• Applications shall be short listed based on their conformity to the guidelines issued by ACITE &ECI and information furnished by nominees for specific categories. 
• The applicants will be finalised based on the scrutiny of the applications by the jury & practical demonstrations by the contestants.
