Hindi Scholarship Scheme is conducted for the students in West Bengal by Government of India in order to encourage the study of Hindi in Non-Hindi speaking states. Hindi Scholarship Scheme application process is open for students of West Bengal, who has passed in 2017 the Secondary/ Higher Secondary/ Degree (Pass of Honours) examination or their equivalent course from the recognized institution. There are total 239 scholarships which are subdivided in to further 3 categories i.e. For HS Students, Foer Graduate Students and For Post Graduation of Research Stage Students.

Candidates have to fill the prescribed application form that can be obtained 7 days prior to the submission deadline. Candidates can get the application form either by hand from the Scholarship & Stipend Section of Education Directorate, West Bengal between 12 noon to 4 p.m. on any working day on production of the original Mark Sheet or by sending a self-addressed and stamped (Rs.5) envelope with attested photocopy of Mark Sheet to the below mentioned address.
The completed application form has to be sent by 30 December 2017 between 12 noon and 4 p.m. on all working days to the address mentioned below. The application forms will not be accepted after 30 December 2017. Candidates of Voluntary Hindi Organizations and other candidates must submit the applications Through Parent Body/ School/College/ University with individual accounts details (Name of the bank, Account No, IFSC code, Mobile No.).
The scholarships are limited in number and will be given strictly on the basis of merit as per the rules. Candidates have to fulfil all the eligibility criteria to get this opportunity. Candidates with wrong information in the application form will be rejected.
