About NIH BHMS Admission

NIH BHMS Admission 2017 is conducted for BHMS course by National Institute of Homeopathy. The admission in NIH BHMS course will be done based on NEET scores. Until the last year, the admission in the NIH BHMS course gets done through an entrance exam. Ministry of AYUSH has requested all the state government to admit students in AYUSH Undergraduate courses through NEET. BHMS Course is a 5 1/2 years course which includes one year of compulsory Internship. The last date to fill the application form is 31 July 2017. NIH BHMS Admission Eligibility criteria

  • The candidate should be an Indian Citizen either by birth or by domicile and the foreign candidates nominated by the government of India can also apply.
  • The applicant shouldn’t be blind, deaf or dumb; however, orthopedically challenged a person with 50% to 70% locomotors disability in the lower limb can also apply.
  • The candidates who are born on or before 31 December 1992 or after 1 January 2001 are rendered ineligible to apply for this exam. At the time of the application, the candidate must not be below 17 years of age or above 25 years.

Qualifying Exam: Admission will be done based on NEET scores

NIH BHMS Admission Application form and Admit Card

The admission will be done on the basis of NEET scores, Still, the candidates have to fill the NIH BHMS application which has to be made in three A4 sized plain paper proforma application form, the first two paper of the form will contain the application information whereas the last page will be the identity. The instructions and important points to be filled in the application form are given below. The candidates are suggested to follow them to ignore the mistakes while filling the application form.

NIH BHMS Application Form - Important Points

  • The candidates have to provide 4 recent colour photograph in the size of (3.5X4.5 cm) which should be taken after1 May 2017.
  • Two copies of the photograph self-attested have to be pasted on the application form; whereas the other two copies of the photograph must be signed at the back and stapled along with the application form.
  • Candidates are not required to send any photocopies of the documents like mark sheet and other documents; however, for candidates categorised under SC/ST/OBC, if they are claiming exemption then they must attach a photocopy of the document along with the form.
  • Orthopedically Challenged candidates to have to attach a photocopy of the certificate obtained from the chairperson of the medical board.
  • Exam Centres: The All India admission test will be held in seven centres in India: Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Bhopal.The candidates must choose at least two centres and those centres will not change after the submission of the application.

Payment of NIH BHMS Application Fee

  • The candidates to complete the application procedure have to pay the application fee and for that, the candidates have to pay the application fee via Bank Draft of Rs. 1000 in favour of Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy, payable at Kolkata. 
  • The candidates should know that the application fee in the form of IPO/ Cheque/ Cash/ Money order will not be accepted.
  • The Application Fee can be paid via The SC / ST candidates do not have to pay any fee but they need to send their category certificates to claim the exemption of fee.

  • Downloaded copy of NEET 2017 Result
  • Aadhar Card
  • Demand Draft
  • Caste Certificate as prescribed by NEET 2017-18
  • Certificate of locomotor disability as prescribed by NEET 2017-18
  • Two recent, high contrast 3.5cm X 4.5cm colour photographs

Submission of the Application Form

The candidates while filling the application form should be cautious and provide the correct details in each and every section of the form. Once, the form gets submitted, the candidates will not get the chance to edit their details.

After filling the form and attaching all the required enclosures along with the application form, the candidates should send the form along with the demand draft of Rs 1,000 to the following address

The candidate has to pay the fee via crossed demand draft drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy, payable at Kolkata on the day of admission.

The signing of Bond: Each candidate at the time of admission has to execute one duly notarized bond of Rs. 50,000  as compensatory bond amount which she/ he has to pay to NIH in the event of course discontinuation at any time before the completion of the course

NIH BHMS Admission Result and Counselling

The selection of the candidates to pursue the NIH BHMS course will be done based on NEET scores. The merit list will get prepared based on NEET scores. NIH BHMS Counselling 2017

 

The NIH BHMS Counselling schedule is released and available on this page below. The candidates have to carry the following certificates.

  • Nationality Certificates or Photocopy of the valid passport/Domicile Certificate/ Birth Certificate self-attested.
  • Class 10 standard Admit Card, Mark Sheet, Pass Certificate.
  • Class 12 standard Admit Card, Mark Sheet, Pass Certificate.
  • Conduct/ Character certificate from the Head of Institute last attended.
  • Transfer certificate from Institute last attended. (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate. (if applicable)
  • Caste validity certificate (if applicable)
  • Migration Certificate issued by the respective University/Board.
  • Medical fitness certificate/Orthopedically Challenged certificate.
  • Six Passport size photographs duly signed by the candidate him/herself.
  • Signed Bond for fee non-refund.
  • Anti-Ragging Affidavit online
  • Self-Educational Gap Affidavit
  • Any other relevant document.

NIH BHMS Admission Exam pattern

Earlier, the NIH BHMS admission gets done based on entrance exam which was conducted by National Institute of Homeopathy. But from now onwards, the admission would be done based on NEET scores. The NEET exam pattern is given below.
