Latest Update: Jamia Millia Islamia has reopened the application form to apply from 16 May to 20 May 2017 for admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program.

Following the order of the Supreme Court, JMI online application window on the official website will be open for the candidates who are aged 25 years or above. Such candidates can submit the online application form from 17 April to 19 April 2017 for the session 2017-18.

Jamia BDS Eligibility criteria

Age Limit: The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years. (of the year of admission)

Academic Qualification

  • The candidates willing to take admission in Jamia Millia Islamia University BDS admission must have appeared in NEET UG exam.
  • The candidates must have qualified the NEET exam to be eligible for the admission in Jamia Millia Islamia University for BDS Course.

Qualifying Exam: The candidates have to qualify NEET exam.

Jamia BDS Application form and Admit Card

As of now, the NEET is a common entrance exam for admission into government and private medical colleges in India. The candidates need to fill the NEET Application Form to appear in NEET Exam. Although, the candidates also need to fill the Jamia Millia Islamia BDS 2017 Application Form to get the admission in JMI University. 

Candidates may apply through online mode by visiting the official website. The application fees can be paid Credit Cards/Debit Cards/net Banking and also use Cash Challans.

Payment of JMI Application Fees


The candidates filling the application form of Jamia Millia Islamia for BDS admission need to make the payment of the application fee by any of the modes of payment given below.

  • Online Mode: The first mode to make the payment of the fee is through online mode in which the candidates can pay the application fee by Credit Cards/ Debit Cards/ Net Banking
  • Offline Mode: The second mode to make the payment of the application fee is through offline mode in which the candidates need to pay the fee using Cash Challans of either Indian Bank or Bank of India payable at any branch of the respective Banks.

The candidates filling the application form need to check the details of the filled in application form before the final submission as the candidates will not be able to do any changes after the submission of the form

The candidates are also advised not to send the hard copy of the application to JMI. However, they are advised to retain the hard copy of the registration slip which they may print for the future reference.

Jamia BDS Fees

The candidates have to pay Rs 700 for the Jamia Millia Islamia BDS Application Fees. The tuition fee required to pay for the JMI University BDS Course is given in the table below along with the number of seats offered.

Admission Fees shall be accepted by JMI through cash, online or Demand Draft.

  • Cash Mode: Fees in Cash may be deposited at JMI branches of either Indian Bank or Bank of India
  • Online Mode: Candidates can pay the Application Fee through Net Banking, Credit Cards & Debit Cards.
  • Demand Draft: Candidates can also be deposit Admission Fee through Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia”, payable at New Delhi.

Jamia BDS Result and Counselling

The University shall prepare the merit list of candidates in various programs. JMI B. Com (Hons)/ B.A Economics (Hons)/ Bachelor of Business Administration Merit List will be published on in the month of June 2017.

  • The list of candidates selected for interview, wherever applicable, shall be displayed in ascending order of their Entrance Test Roll No. and will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Faculty/ Department/Centre concerned as well as on Jamia’s website
  • JMI may display additional lists of candidates selected from the waiting list in order of merit as per the University procedure.

Jamia BDS Exam pattern

As described above that the admission in Jamia Millia Islamia University for BDS course will be done on the basis of NEET scores. Therefore, the candidates need to know the exam pattern and syllabus of the NEET exam. NEET 2017 is an All India Undergraduate medical entrance exam conducted by CBSE and is the single medical exam in the country which will be used for admission in MBBS and BDS colleges.
