• Women Entrepreneur Quest (WEQ) 2016 is an annual event organized by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Anita Borg Institute India (ABI India), National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) and Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF).
• Women Entrepreneur Quest (WEQ) 2016 acts as a platform to reward female entrepreneurs having working with Technical startups, to learn and network for their future business growth.
• By Women Entrepreneur Quest (WEQ) 2016, ABI India, NSTEDB and IUSSTF are providing support to Government of India’s National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2016 initiative.
• The applications can be made by women-led startups in technology across India. A female needs to be the founder or co-founder or CXO of the Startup.
• Top 6 candidates will get an all-expense paid trip to Silicon Valley, USA and 1 winner will get cash prize worth Rs. 5 lakh.

Women Entrepreneur Quest Important Dates 2016

Top 6 women Entrepreneur will get a chance to be on a fully paid trip to Silicon Valley, USA along with various other perks. The details of the rewards are as follow:

• WEQ Award: Top 6 women will get a fully paid Experiential Learning Visit Award to the Silicon Valley, US including Exclusive mentoring, learning and networking opportunities.
• Cash Prize: One winner from Top 6 will get cash prize worth Rs. 5 Lakh.
• WEQ Special Awards: The top 6 Women Entrepreneur will get counselling sessions, webinars and mentoring sessions with NSRCEL, The Ladies Finger, The Startup Centre and VentureBean.

• Application Form: In order to make application for the Women Entrepreneur Quest (WEQ) 2016, applications are to be filled at the official website.

• Required Details: The applicants willing to be a part of the Women Entrepreneur Quest (WEQ) 2016 should fill the application form once they are done with the registration process.
  • Participants are required to enter their personal details, details related to the organization, their role in the organization, business module etc. to complete the application form.
  • Details related to the organization’s market size, marketing strategy, Unique Selling Proposition are also required.

Women Entrepreneur Quest Selection Process 2016

WEQ Selection will be based on three stages which are given in details below:

• Stage 1
  • The participants must complete the WEQ 2016 online application Form
• Stage 2
  • All the participants who meet the eligibility Criteria for WEQ 2016 and are selected in Stage 1 moves to stage 2.
  • The participants who gets selected in stage 2 will be informed by email and they need to apply online for the stage 2 application form
  • The Online submission of stage 2 will be evaluated by a panel of eminent judges to select 25 finalists.  The panel will consist of angel investors, influencers from the start-up industry and representative/nominee from DST and IUSSTF.
• Stage 3
  • The selected applicants from stage 2 will be informed about their selection in stage 3 through email. 
  • The 25 finalists from stage 2 will be invited to make a pitch presentation of 3-5 minutes to another 5-7 members to be held on December 8, 2016, at Bangalore.
  • WEQ 2016 Top 10 Winners will be selected from the 25 finalists and announced at an Award Presentation that will be held on December 9, 2016,during the Grace Hopper Celebration India (GCHI) 2016 Conference.
