Tata Sky Scholarship Quiz 2014

• For the 1^st time Tata Sky is introducing a scholarship quiz competition for the young minds.
• Tata Sky scholarship quiz is scheduled to be held on Independence Day for the whole day i.e. for 24 hours only for active Tata Sky subscribers.
• It’s a great opportunity for Tata sky user’s to make their children participate in a quiz competition by letting them sit in front of a television having an active Tata sky subscription.
• Tata Sky scholarship quiz will be fun for the children, as they are very much found of television and also learns more by audio visual aids.

A total scholarship of worth Rs. 20 lacs will be awarded to top 10 students and each of them will get a scholarship of Rs. 2,00,000 each.

To participate in Tata Sky Scholarship Quiz students have to follow the given procedure

• On August 15, 2014 switch on the television and Tata Sky set up box and select Tata Sky Scholarship option under the Active menu.
•  After selecting the option, 50 multiple choice questions with 4 options will display on the screen out of which correct answer have to be choosed within 30 minutes.
• In case of confusion students can leave a question and can revisit the question within 30 minutes but if a question is answered its answer cannot be changed.
• Students can answer the questions only with the help of Tata Sky set up box remote.
• When the quiz is completed by the student, he/she can press the submit button and a SMS code will display on the television screen which has to be send correctively on 56633 by a mobile phone.
• Each SMS will be charged at the rate of Rs. 3 and its cost will be beared by the mobile phone owner or by student’s parent/guardian.
• Students can take the quiz once from each TV under multi TV connection but the 1^st entry received by Tata Sky will be considered.
• Quiz can be taken once from every set up box, in case student quit the quiz in between then he/she will not be able to take the quiz again from the same set of box.
• If the student has not answered the questions in 30 minutes than a screen saying time up will be displayed leaving the students with 2 options either to SMS the code appeared on the screen to 56633 or to exit the quiz.
• If at any time student wants to quit from the quiz, he/she will be given 3 options
• Submit the Quiz so far and get SMS code: student can submit the quiz so far done and will get a code, which has to be send on 56633.
• Completely exit from the Quiz: students agree and acknowledged to the terms and conditions saying that they are not entitled for the scholarship.
• Go back to the questions which are unanswered: students can go back and can answer the unanswered questions.

• Quiz will be conducted in English only.
• Quiz will contain 50 multiple choice questions (MCQs) having 4 options, out which the correct options has to be choosed within 30 minutes.
• Questions will be asked from History, Geography, Science, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Politics and Civics, English from infotainment channels and from Tata Sky active services like Active Fun Learn, Active Vedic Maths and Active English.
• Every correct answer will carry 10 points, for every incorrect answer -3 points will be awarded and no points will be given or deducted for unanswered questions.
• Students can prepare for the quiz by going through their text books, general knowledge books or through Tata Sky active learning channels.

Selection Process

Tata Sky Scholarship Quiz result will be declared on August 17, 2014.

Selection of students will be made on the following basis:

• Students who will answer maximum no. of questions in minimum time will be shortlisted.
• Out of all the students best 10 will be selected for the scholarship.
• In case a tie occurs between 2 or more students than the 1^st student’s entry will be taken into consideration.
