NSEP 2018 Application has been started from 1 August 2018. The link to the NSEP 2018 application is available on this page. National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP) is conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) is the first step for the worldwide Olympiad in Physics. On qualifying NSEP 2018, eligible students will be able to participate in the Indian National Physics Olympiad (A qualifying stage of International Physics Olympiad). This examination is conducted every year since 1987 and today, more than 40,000 students at over 1200 centres across the nation appear in NSEP every year. NSEP is carried out in multiple languages. NSEP 2018 Registration has been started. Candidates can apply online only for National Search Examination in Physics through this page. Candidates are advised to check NSEP Eligibility Criteria before filling the NSEP Registration Form. The link to apply for NSEP 2018 is available towards the end of this page. Applicants on qualifying NSEP 2018-19 will be able to participate in the Indian National Olympiad in Physics (A qualifying exam for participation in the International Olympiad in Physics)
Note: Gold medalists in NSEP, after completing their education, may join DAE
(Department of Atomic Energy) directly through an interview without appearing in their entrance test.
Candidates have to register through their schools or registered centres. The registration form of the National Standard Examination in Physics can only be filled by the Institutions. The registration fee for NSEP 2018 is 150 rupees. The steps of filling the form are also given below.

The candidates who have filled the application form should submit the same to complete the application process. Before the final submission of the application form, the candidates should make sure that they have filled the correct details on the form.
NSEP Admit Card will be available to download for the candidates to appear in the examination scheduled to be conducted on 25 November 2018. The dates for the same will be notified later.
The admit card is an important document to be carried at the examination centre. The link to download the admit card will be available below. The candidates have to enter their username and password to download the admit card.

The candidates will be able to check NSEP Answer Key 2018 as soon as it releases by following the link available below. NSEP Answer Key 2018 is expected to be released in the first week of December 2018, however, there is no official date has been announced regarding the same. Candidates are selected based on marks obtained in the NSEP Examination by the candidate. More the marks obtained by the candidates more will be their probability of being selected. The NSEP result will be declared in the first week of January 2018 for the exam scheduled to be conducted on 25 November 2018.
Syllabus for NSEP is broadly equivalent to the CBSE Physics of the senior secondary level i.e. class 11 and 12.

About: International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) is a yearly Physics Olympiad. It is the final stage of Physics Olympiad where the selected students from National Level Olympiad across the globe compete against each other. A team of 5 students along with two leaders from each nation participate in IPhO.
From National to International: Students first appear in National Search Examination in Physics. Later, the qualified students appear in India National Olympiad (INO). Further, the selected students are invited for Orientation Cum Selection Camps from where the final five candidates are selected who represent India at International Level in International Physics Olympiad.
Latest News: In 2018, 49th International Physics Olympiad held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 21 to 29 July 2018, where all five Indian students won Gold Medal.
