About Lore India Foundation Scholarship

  • Lore India Foundation has come up with the unique scholarship programme where it will award Rs. 55 million scholarship to the students of Class 10, 11 & 12.
  • Lore India Foundation scholarship will be India's largest scholarship programme (in terms of number of students & scholarship funds) outside the government Initiative.
  • The Lore India Foundation scholarships are promoted by the top academicians in the country such as Prof. Seyed E. Hasnain, Professor IIT Delhi, Dr. Hari Gautam, former UGC Chairman, Dr. S.B. Siwach, Chairman PG Committee, Medical Council of India, Prof. Ranbir Singh, Vice Chancellor, National Law University and many more eminent personalities.
  • The Lore Foundation Scholarship is supported by TCS & Axis Bank.
  • Lore India Foundation scholarship is a merit based scholarship and not need based.
  • The students can use the scholarship to fund the tuition at an accredited college or university and it is unique in a way that the scholarship fund can also be used to fund the coaching fees for the preparation of any entrance exam required for admission.
  • There is also a reward program for schools based on the performance of school students in LAT- Learning Aptitude Test.
  • Registrations for Lore India Foundation scholarship for school students have opened on July 14, 2014. Last date for registration has been extended and the date will be announced soon.
  • LAT test will be conducted in Last week of November,2014 all over India at the designated test centers.

  • Applicant should be a student of Class 10, 11 or Class 12 at the time of applying to the scholarship programme.
  • Should be a citizen or permanent resident of India.
  • Should be planning to pursue an UG program from an accredited Indian or foreign university in any discipline/ course/ branch.

Lore India Scholarship reward for school students

There will be 103 scholarships that would be given on the basis of Learning Aptitude Test- LAT

  • First Prize- Rs. 50 Lakhs
  • Second Prize: Rs. 30 Lakhs
  • Third Prize: Rs. 20 Lakhs
  • 4th Rank- 53rd Rank- Rs. 5 Lakhs each
  • 54th to 103rd rank- Rs. 3 Lakh each

Every candidate will be provided a rank based certificate.

Description of the Scholarship Award 

  • The Scholarship will be in the form of interest generating trust fund which can be used for a period of 7 years from the date of the award. 
  • After the lapse of 7 years period the unused amount of scholarship would revert to Lore India Scholarship Programme.
  • It will be paid directly to the educational institute.
  • Mentorship Program: Apart from the cash award the student will also be a part of the mentorship program where the selected scholars will undergo a comprehensive psychometric analysis/ interest schedule on the basis of which the student will be counseled & guided for their future studies.

The scholarship received by the students can be used for the following purpose

  • For pursuing undergraduate education any discipline in Indian or Foreign University.
  • For preparation of an entrance exam required for admission into any UG course.

Lore India Scholarship award for Schools

  •  Top 3 schools (maximum number of students in top 50,000) based on the performance of the students in LAT will be awarded cash prizes & recognition certificates at the National event of Lore India Foundation.
    • 1st Rank: Rs. 25 lakh
    • 2nd Rank: Rs. 15 lakh
    • 3rd Rank: Rs. 10 lakh
  • The Reward to schools is meant for helping meritorious students of disadvantaged backgrounds, improvement of school infrastructure, for acquiring new technology & learning tools for class room teaching, teacher's recruitment.

Student Registration

  • The student has to register for the scholarship online through Lore India Foundation website.Register for Lore India Foundation Scholarship Online 
  • The registration is on first come first serve basis, due to limited number of seats in the test centres so the registrations will close once the seats are full.

School Registration
The school also has to register for the Recognition & Reward Program for schools. There is no fees to be paid for this.Register for Lore India Foundation Scholarship Online

Lore India Foundation Scholarship  Application Fee

  • There is an application fee of Rs. 1850 for the LAT test. 
  • Online Payment: The student can either pay the application fees online at the time of registration or through cash.
  • Cash Payment:
    • The student can also pay the application fees by cash at any branch of Axis Bank across India. The student has to download the pay in slip from the Lore India Foundation website and fill in the required details. The student then has to deposit the scholarship fees along with the bank copy and will get the stamped Student copy as acknowledgement.
    • The student has to carry the Institute's copy with them to the test centre on the date of the test.

Lore India Foundation Scholarship Admit Card

The Students will receive the hall tickets for the scholarship test by 1st week of September through e-mail.

Lore India Foundation Scholarship Selection Process

  • The student will have to undergo an aptitude test- LAT conducted by TCS for the selection in the scholarship.

What is Learning Aptitude Test- LAT

  • LAT is an aptitude & ability based test which is used to determine the student's ability & aptitude for advanced learning.
  • LAT will be a common test for students of Class 10-12.
  • The test is designed comprehensively such that it will give importance to meaningful & active learning.
  • There will be many parameters on which the student would be judged and overall a composite score would be arrived on the basis of which the final rank would be decided.
  • The test is designed by TCS & Lore India Foundation and LAT will be conducted by TCS at pan India level.
  • The students have to fill in a choice of taking LAT exam either in English/Hindi.
  • The students can either opt for Computer based test/ pen & paper based test.

Selection process for Lore India Foundation Scholarship

  • The selection of the student to the test will purely be based on the merit/ rank scored by student in LAT.
  • The students will be ranked at the national, board & state level
  • LAT test will be conducted on September 28, 2014 (Date Changed- will be announced soon) in following towns/cities. There are around 190 cities where the test will be conducted for Lore India Scholarship 2014.
  • If it will not be possible to rank the applicants on the basis of their LAT score then there will be a second round of examination.
    • The format of the second round will be decided by the Governing Council of the Lore India Foundation Scholarship Program.
