Kumbh Mela Photography Contest 2019

Kumbh Mela Photography contest 2019 is launched by Prayagraj Mela Authority. The photographers from all across India and also the International photographers are invited to submit the photos taken at the Kumbh Mela 2019 held at Prayagraj. The photograph that is submitted should be an individual work and cannot be submitted in a group.

The theme of the photography contest:  Prayagraj Kumbh Mela 2019

From early morning scenes to the myriad scenes of daily life, the photograph can depict anything. The person can capture the favourite moment of Kumbh magic.

3. Mesmerising Kumbh / Divya Kumbh Bhavya Kumbh
4. Open – Any images not included in the above categories

Kumbh Mela Photography Contest Dates 2019

The best 3 entries in each of 4 categories will be given a cash prize and a grand prize of 5,00,000 INR for the overall best entry across all categories as finalised by the panel.

• Grand Prize: 5,00,000 INR
• 1st Prize: 1,00,000 INR
• 2nd Prize: 75,000 INR
• 3rd Prize: 50,000 INR

To participate in the Kumb Photography Contest, the person has to upload the photo taken by them at Prayagraj Kumb Mela 2019. 

• Brief Description with Photographs: All entries should be accompanied with a brief line (max 500 characters) mentioning the subject name and place where the photo was taken.

Guidelines for the Kumbh Mela Photography Contest

• Only photographs taken during Kumbh Mela 2019 (Prayagraj) will be accepted
• The user can submit a maximum five entries per category
• Photographs should be submitted in .jpg or .jpeg file format
• Both colour and monochrome images will be accepted
• The total data size of the image(s) should be not more than 8 MB
• Picture size of the large side should be at least 1600 pixels
• No surrealism, no cloning, no composite images allowed
• Source image must be made available on request by Prayagraj Mela Authority
• Computer-generated or computer-altered/morphed images (other than basic system work) will be disqualified

Kumbh Mela Photography Selection Process and Result

The selection of the winner would be based on three criteria, and that is

1. Creativity
2. Originality
3. Composition

Once the winner is selected, they will be intimated on e-mail. They will get three days to revert to the email. Or the second best option will be selected.

The Kumbh Mela Photography contest Result will be declared on 15 February 2019 and the photograph will be put on exhibition in the 3rd week of February.
