KSCSTE Research Fellowship scheme is offered by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE), an autonomous body of Government of Kerala. The KSCSTE Fellowship scheme aims to promote and support MSc/M.Tech rank holders from the Universities in Kerala in PhD work. The main objective of this fellowship scheme is to provide the research training and develop a candidate's careers as scientists. The fellowship will be awarded based on the online test followed by an interview.
Until last year there was no application fee for the fellowship but now the candidates have to pay the required application fee to appear in the online exam.
The total number of PhD Fellowships awarded in a year is 100.
Duration: The period of fellowship shall be for a period not exceeding three years.

The fellowship carries a monthly stipend and is given below.

The new candidate has to Register first before filling the application form. For registration, the candidate has to fill his general details such as Name, DOB, Contact Number etc. After successful registration, the candidate will receive a confirmation email with id & password.
The application fee of Rs. 500 is to be paid as DD, taken in favour of The Member Secretary, KSCSTE' payable at SBI Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram.

The envelope containing the application should be "Application for KSCSTE Research Fellowship 2018."
The Admit card for the online exam will be generated online. The admit card will have the details of the online test centre. The requests for changing the examination centre allotted after generation of admit cards will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of an objective type Entrance examination, conducted by KSCSTE.
Based on the cutoff marks recommended by the fellowship committee for each subject area, candidates who have scored marks above the cut off will be called in for an Interview
The entrance examination will be conducted in online mode and carries two papers
The candidates will be shortlisted based on the cut off marks recommended by the KSCSTE Research Fellowship Committee for each of the subject area, candidates who have scored marks above the cut off will be called for an interview.
The list of shortlisted candidates will be published in KSCSTE website and the shortlisted candidates will be notified via e-mail for the interview to be held at KSCSTE, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram.
