Japanese Government Scholarship - For Education Teachers is offered by the Government of Japan through the Embassy of Japan in India. The scholarship is available for the Indian school teachers. The scholarship aims to recruit aspiring primary to senior secondary school teachers in India for research work on Japanese education system. The candidates who are teaching in any government school in India since minimum five years are eligible to apply for Japanese Government Scholarship. The selected candidates will be provided 1,43,000 (around 83,730 Rupees) yen per month for 18 months which will start from October 2017. The candidates wish to apply for the scholarship will have to send their application form via post before 10 February 2017.
Latest News: CBSE has released a circular for application to this scholarship and the teachers have to apply according to that. Circular is given below. CBSE has to nominate 50 teachers for this scholarship.

The candidates can submit their Japanese Government Scholarship For Education Teachers Application Form only through OFFLINE mode. The candidates have to submit their filled in application form along with the required documents in an envelope scribed as "Japanese Government Scholarship for Teachers Training" to the Japanese Embassy send the filled application form along with necessary documents via the post on the address given below:

The candidates applied for the scholarship will be shortlisted for the interview and a written test which may be held in the middle of the March 2017. The Government of Japan/Embassy of Japan has invited nominations for Japanese Government scholarships for the year 2017 for the award of scholarships to school teachers teaching in the schools affiliated to CBSE.
The nomination of the teacher along with application forms, annexures and supporting documents as available duly verified by the school principal should reach through email (attachment as a pdf file) at alhilal@cbse.gov.in at the following address urgently.
