UNESCO International Essay Contest for Young People is conducted by UNESCO along with Goi Peace Foundation. UNESCO which was started 72 years ago to build peace of mind is now celebrating its 73 anniversary in 2018. This annual essay contest is organised in an effort to harness the energy, imagination and initiative of the world’s youth in promoting a culture of peace and sustainable development. It aims to inspire society to learn from the young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world.
The Theme of the essay is "The Change I Want to Make".
What is the one thing you would like to change the most to make your school, workplace, community, country or the world a better place? How would you bring about that change?
Please share your concrete idea.
The 1st prize winner will be invited to Tokyo, Japan to receive the award which will be sponsored by the organisers.

First Prize Winners wins a trip to Tokyo
UNESCO Essay Writing Contest 2018 can be done by two ways that are through Individual Registration and through School/ Organization. The guidelines for writing the Essay and the ways to submit the Essay has been described below:

Online Submission: The duly filled in Application Form along with the Essay must be submitted Online through www.goipeace.or.jp
Offline Submission: Teachers and youth directors or an individual may submit a collection of essays from their class or group. Please enclose a list of participants’ names, ages and the name and contact information of the submitting teacher or director. Entries may be submitted by postal mail to the following address.
