DST & Texas Instruments Inc. India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2016 is open to all the students pursuing B.E/B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech & PhD from Indian Engineering Colleges. India Innovation Challenge Design Contest is an initiative by Texas Instruments in collaboration with Department of Science & Technology (DST) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Banglore. The contest is anchored by MyGov and Make in India. The candidates have to participate in teams and submit a Proposal of new and innovative ideas on or before September 30, 2016.

The Team must submit their completed Proposal on the Online portal that is myGov.
The Judging or selection of the winner team of India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2016 will consist of four different Rounds:
Qualifying Round: The teams who will submit their proposal before September 30, 2016, automatically enters the qualifying round. The proposals will be reviewed as per Qualifying Round Judging Criteria and the shortlisted teams will enter the quarterfinals of the contest. The Shortlisted teams for the Quarterfinal Round will be announced by November 15, 2016.
Quarter Finals: The quarter-finalists can request TI components up to USD $200. The teams will complete their prototype; submit their project report & a video demonstration of their project, uploaded on YouTube by Feb 28, 2017. The reports and video demonstration will be reviewed as per Quarter Final Judging Criteria and shortlisted teams will enter the Semifinals. The shortlisted teams for the Semifinals will be announced by Mar 31, 2017.
Semi-Finals: The Semifinalists will be invited to the Regional Demonstration and Evaluation event for live demonstration and evaluation of their project. These events will be held in April of 2017. The teams will be evaluated as per Semifinal Judging Criteria and shortlisted teams will enter the finals. The shortlisted teams will be notified by May 20, 2017.
Finals: The finalists will be invited to Final Evaluation event in July of 2017. Select finalists will be provided direct mentorship from IIM Bangalore for Incubation.
