About Emblem and Motto Design Competition for National Archives of India
- Ministry of Culture, Government of India invites Indian citizens to participate in Emblem and Motto Design Competition for National Archives of India.
- Any Citizen of India irrespective of gender, age etc. can participate in the Emblem and Motto Design Competition.
- It is the second time entries are being invited for the same competition as no entry was found suitable in the last competition.
- The Entries for the competition need to be uploaded by the means of MyGov Platform’s creative corner. A single entry will be selected as the winner of the winner of the Emblem and Motto Design Competition for National Archives of India.
- The last date to submit entries for the competition is August 15, 2015.

- Nationality: The Emblem and Motto Design Competition is open only for Indian citizens throughout the world.
- Number of Entries: A participant can submit only one entry.
- Participation: The competition is open for group as well as individual participation.
Not Eligible for the Competition
- The family members of Jury/Coordinating team are not eligible to participate in the competition.

Emblem and Motto Design Competition Application Process
MyGov Platform is to be used in order to submit the entries for the Emblem and Motto Design Competition. Entries submitted by any other method will not be considered. The details of the application process are as follow:
- Number of Entries: A participant i.e. individual/ team/ can submit only a single entry for the competition.
- MyGov Profile: The information present on MyGov Profile on the participants will be used to contact the participants. Therefor candidates should keep their profiles updates with most accurate information.
- Specifications of the Emblem & Motto:
- Color Scheme: The Logo need to be in multicolor.
- Size: The Size of the logo may range from 4cms x 4cms to 60cms x 60cms
- Resolution: Minimum 300dpi.
- Format: The Logo should be uploaded only in JPEG / PNG / PDF format.
- Word Limit: The Motto should be of 6-8 words.
- The logo will be featured website/social media such as Twitter/Facebook and on printed material such as b/w press releases, stationery and Signage so it need to be legible and polished.
- The logo design should not be imprinted or water marked.
Submission of the Entries
The entries being submitted need to be in accordance with the following guidelines:
- A specification sheet providing information related to all technical details, including file formats etc. should be submitted along with the final submission.
- The logo should be designed on Digital Platform and the winner should submit an editable and open file of the emblem and Motto.

Emblem and Motto Design Competition Selection Process
The selection of the winners will be done on the basis of the below mentioned criteria:
- Judging Criteria:
- creativity, originality & composition,
- technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit & visual impact
- Relevance of the Emblem & Motto to the core functions of National Archives of India.
- Result: The result of the competition will be declared on August 10, 2015.
